    Pros

    As long as you work your 40 hours, your schedule can be flexible. You get to work independently and you are not stuck behind a desk all day.

    Cons

    Low pay and no chance for advancement. If you transfer to a different position within the company they require it to be a lateral pay change. There is no way to increase your pay unless you quit and reapply at a later date.

    Advice to Management

    Give your employees cost of living pay increases. Also, when applying for jobs internally allow for pay increases. When you require all internal job transfers to be lateral pay moves there is no room for advancement. This is why your employees are forced to leave the company.

    Pros

    Nobody checks on you during work or anytime for that matter.

    Cons

    Starting pay is low, no raises, carts are old, no help. No one seems to really give a darn.

    Advice to Management

    Up your beginning pay for Event Specialist, and give raises like you do to all the other departments at headquarters. Communicate with the employees and not by just the supervisor. Supervisors are as far away from management, as the ES's. Update the carts. I asked for new signs because mine were cracked , the wrong color, and had to be taped on. For 6 months I reminded the supervisor and never got them. Improve and open the lines of communication.
     I was injured and Supervisor never reported my injury to the head office. Fear I guess!

    Flexibility, working alone, benefits, paid holidays, M-F job, family oriented supervisor

    Cons

    There are no opportunities for raises or promotions, salary is low (24k), communication is slow, traveling 500+miles per week, having to have special allowances on your auto insurance making your premiums go up by $300+, having your living room turn into a storage shed since they mail every single thing to you in separate mailings, constantly taking on projects for other teams

    Pros

    great work life balance. Monday through Friday schedule which is flexible 7:00 -3:00 pm or bankers hours every weekend off, paid holidays, paid vacations the second year we earn two weeks paid vacation. We get forty hours sick time per year ,and they really want us to use it if we feel sick. Supervision is done over the phone and is minimal so you should be goal oriented and not one who needs prodding.

    Cons

    $12-$13 per hour , very small raises if any once a year. Medical Benefits offered but we must pay about seventy five dollars every two weeks toward buying th emedical covergae only to be given a $3,000 deductible up front so its more affordable to pay cash everywhere than it is to buy the insurance they have. There are other options but they involve paying $125.00 each pay period and getting a $2,000 upfront deductible before medical kicks in. On $12 and hour this is not good.
    Lego display incentive program is a commission based program the a target goal is set very high and last year and this year I am the only person on my team of 13 employees who is making it to the target. if they don't reach target they don't get commissions for all their displays they built.
    if you have a manager in a store you visit that doesn't like you, you are stuck going in there time and again, as calling your manager for help is futile. So this is why many professionals leave this job, very little support when an issue arises and some stores who have managers that treat Vendors badly.

    Advice to Management

    Advancement opportunities should be offered more often to top employees, and find a better Medical plan. with pay to use and high deductibles combining to make the insurance too high.
