Company is spinning and no clear direction

Hybrid work is a plus
Cons
Company is going through a merger of all firms into one entity. Trying to hype it up, nobody cares. Leadership changes on the daily and a lot of fake people who don’t care.

Pros
Some really wonderful and excellent coworkers. Relative autonomy in my role.
Cons
There is an exceptional arrogance within our leadership team, who makes promises in order to extract results but then declines to deliver. They never bothered to sit down with their senior leaders to understand roles and strengths and capability for big ideas when they first arrived. But they DID start bringing in outside folks at similar or higher levels, and we're now bloated with EVPs, SVPs and VPs. So we're quite top heavy, and quite disorganized, and there's a lot to do but they're stingy with headcount so there are never enough hands to do the work, let alone do it well. It's hard to watch this place, which I've always loved, turn into this mess instead.
Continue readingWe take all comments seriously and look to improve our culture and business. We will continue to hire exceptional external talent and promote talent from within the organization. We also will continue to encourage leaders at all levels of the organization to invest time and development into all team members as we continue to make AG a great place to work and support the growth for our network of financial professionals.

Advisor Group
Apr 4, 2023 - AML Senior Compliance Analyst in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
AG switched to fully remote. It’s a laid back environment and other employees are helpful. work schedule can be flexible dependent on your manager and benefits can be compared to other financial institutions, 20 day vacation plus sick and personal as well as bank holidays.
Cons
Problem AG is facing surrounds centralization of policies/procedures and systems. There are a varying amount of systems and it’s evident that grasping function details can be difficult. Bonus is dependent on your annual performance. Won’t get full payout if your manager believes you didn’t give 110%.

Coworkers and higher ups are very nice people Everyone is more or less willing to help one another The work itself isn't that bad
Cons
Depending on the firm you end up in, you could end up with a VERY VERY high workload which can often be overwhelming There could stand to be a bit more structure with training Pay doesn't always reflect how well you are able to perform your tasks
