I have been working at Aero Port Services full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Most of the Wheelchair gents who work there are nice. Mrs. Julie, the owner is very kind.

    Cons

Management does not apply the rules to everyone, lots of favoritism. The "Managers" don't have any people skills. The office in the Tom Bradley terminal seems more like cafeteria. The people they call dispatchers don't even know what they are doing.

    Pros

There isn't no pros at aps.

    Cons

Sucks. They don't care about their employees always changing schedules and days off, low on staff and they do nothing about it.

    Advice to Management

    Get new management

I have been working at Aero Port Services full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pretty easy work if you have half a brain. No one's job is extremely difficult. Paper is straightforward and doesn't require much thought.

    Cons

Tough to get anyone to be passionate about doing well. Probably not a big deal to most people but I get tired of being the only one interested in doing more than the bare minimum for a paycheck so it becomes exhausting. Bringing your own pen. It is an office.

    Advice to Management

Increase manpower. Reward people who do more. Listen to your employees when they give you suggestions. Don't yell at your team. Don't change the rules arbitrarily or tell women not to get pregnant.

I worked at Aero Port Services

    Pros

I worked for this company for nearly 7 years. Great company for entry levels or students to get few years of experience to move on to better paid jobs. They have multiple shifts.

    Cons

Very low pay including supervisors and too much office politics. Managers are too insecure about their jobs that they won't let you grow further. The only time they consider someone when they are friends with them. I would also like to mention favoritism. You will not be considered for morning jobs or better days off even after working for long time if you are not friends with managers.

    Advice to Management

Be professional. This is a family operated business but do not create friends and family drama in the office. Also, recognize those who work hard for you not the one who you go out with.

    Pros

You have a job and that is about it.

    Cons

Cargo division is union in which the pay is minimum while breaking down pallets from inbound aircraft. Union dues are 2.3% from your earnings and as well you have to pay your own parking permit. You are part of the union but upper management segregates their employees by posting a sign in the break room indicating for APS employees only in which if you are not part of that division (CFS department) they tend to... kick you out. Too much favoritism and as well upper management drives the company as a family business so good luck trying to climb the latter.

    Advice to Management

Stop the favoritism, family members working in same department, and pay your lawsuit settlements!

I worked at Aero Port Services full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Supervisor was very nice -Every day is different -Hard work at times, you won't get good hours if you can't break your back -always extra hours and overtime -chances to work in multiple positions -seeing all the cool stuff -Some employees are amazing and nice -You see celebrities a lot -Most people were very helpful -lot of opportunity for growth, in other companies/airlines around you. In the... company itself, not really.

    Cons

-split shifts! As if the long hours werent already hard, you can spend literally 12pm to 12am working between split shifts -crazy hours -delays in flights -super micromanagement between airlines -If someone in an airline wants your fired, they will stop at nothing to pick on you and complain (Lots of haters/shady people) -Innapropriate joking/talk from certain people in the airlines (not the company itself)... that you can't do anything about -lot of perverts (mainly other companies) will try to get your number or talk to you (again, not the company itself, but something in the environment you can't escape) -a lot of gossip/rumors -Not a family person type job. Best for single people -zero work/life balance due to crazy hours -lunch room is like a mile away -no room for growth really

I worked at Aero Port Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people to work with and as well you get the chance to network with a lot of people from different careers and companies.

    Cons

There is a lot of wrongful actions going on such as upper management not been properly diverse, every upper management are related in some form, and as well most of the hiring are done through their internal culture. The company is managed as if it was a family business and not as a professional matter. There is a high turn around rate since the wage is way below the airport minimum wage and as well a lot of former... employees tend to sue the company due to lack of over time payment and as well not compensating the employees for no meal break.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the union and hire more people that are fit for the job, not family members or friends.
