      I worked at Aeroplan part-time

      Pros

      If you enjoy being yelled at by disgruntled customers, this is the place for you. Oh, and they provide benefits to all employees.

      Cons

      Very monotonous job . Managers had no idea what they were doing . Employees are not set up with resources needed to do their job well. For example, wait time to reach a supervisor or other departments for assistance could take upwards to 40 minutes. Considering how it would often take a customer that long to get through to the rep in the first place, this is unacceptable. Union office was only open during day time...

      none, really. perhaps the training, it is well laid out.

      Cons

      Where to begin. Your co-workers are miserable, egotistical, selfish, and all around not good people. Management is told to put the screws on employees, and they enjoy doing that. Trust is zero, and so everyone is looking out for themselves. There is no team, or culture. You get passes or you only pay fuel and air port tax to fly, only if their is a seat on the plane.       Sell off the entity to a third party vendor, they can only do 100% better than what you cannot do.

      Great benefits, flexible trades, amazing coworkers, competitive pay

      Cons

      management is a mess, priorities on staffing is unbelievable, employment status turned from full time to part time in a year then to lay off in two years after that

      Some really smart people across the workforce. More customer data available than imaginable.

      Cons

      Organisational structure and change management process block speed of progress. Culture of self promotion over joint wins. Adoption of own product suite could be better.

      I worked at Aeroplan full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

      I loved my co-workers (mostly), the challenges of my position, the pay, and the benefits.

      Cons

      Top level management are some of the worst I've ever seen Wanted to shake things up to get rid of the more senior people at top wages and instead got rid of the more junior people who did 10x the work and were paid half as much. Idiots.

      If it ain't broke don't fix it.

      Pros

      Best coworkers you can ever have! Great benefits and easy job. Accessible via public transit. Discounted miles for employees to buy.

      Cons

      Horrible management from aimia, nobody understands the airline operations in upper management. Radical decisions made by aimia which resulted in horrible customer experience and ridiculous wait times. Zero job security

      Advice to Management

      The immediate managers were great but upper management really needs to learn the cause of failure. The best asset of a company are their employees but Aimia does not seem to understand that. Keeping employees informed and asking for opinions would be greatly appreciated

      Pros

      Interesting type of marketing (Loyalty); good budgets to use for initiatives, progressive technology and communication channels to work with; good to gain experience and then move on

      Cons

      Management very secretive, back stabbing environment not collaborative; hostile

      Advice to Management

      Be more honest with employees; need to develop a sense of team work and collaboration

      Nice downtown offices in Toronto and Montreal Some good people to work with Recognized brand in Canada Average pay structure

      Cons

      Nothing changes Everyone is super busy but no real work actually happens Something dramatic needs to change for the culture to appreciate actual progress.
