    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

    Say One Thing, Do Another

Nov 24, 2021 - Account Manager in Kalamazoo, MI

    Pros

Commission structure was good for those that performed well Provided a constant incentive to compete and grow

    Cons

Benefits were expensive and poor coverage Promotions were college frat/relationship system as opposed to performance Good 'Ol Boys Club vs. Newcomers - The relationships were non-existent outside of work and fake inside the office You're only important to the company when you are performing well for them. If you struggle, they don't put any time or effort into you Account Managers are supposed to train and develop but they are only concerned about their well being No annual performance reviews or raises because they expect your commission to be enough, no respect for tenure or job changes internally.

    Competitive, Rewarding Job

    Pros

A great job when you are looking for your first career. COVID has changed the culture a bit, but relationship building is huge. If you are competitive, you will love/hate this. Staffing can be difficult because sometimes you can't control some of the situations you worked so hard for (i.e. candidate called out sick, client lost business so you lost business, etc). If you have the mindset of control what you can control, you will do fine here. Your partners invest in you if you show the effort and have a good attitude.

    Cons

They try to drive work life balance but it is difficult. Constant relationship building things are encouraged and it gets difficult as you get older - especially when you have a family. When I was younger, HH and outings were the best. Now with a growing family, that isn't my priority. Difficult to work past 5pm but I feel guilty when I don't.
