I have been working at Aerotek full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con"

As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

I have been working at Aerotek (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture is great, the people there truly care about you personally and professionally. The professional development is always there.

    Cons

You will work at least 50 hours per week and then some. It is a work hard play hard mentality.

I have been working at Aerotek as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The recruiters are very well trained to bring your talents and skills into the right work environments to grow personally and Professionally.

While your working with a contract they have provided, you can ask if there any other contracts available that might put you in a better position.

Recruiters are reasonable to work with coming to your salary and generally more flexible then the main companies.

Provides you a foot in the door of an industry and allow you to grow your net work.

    Cons

Some times the contracts will fall through, resulting in chaos for a few days. But they will try to redirect your talents to other contracts if this happens.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I did medical device sales before coming to Aerotek in 2013 and I have never once regretted it. At Aerotek you can be given the opportunity of a lifetime, but it is based solely off your determination and willingness to put in the work. We are a recruiting firm so our business and the work that goes into each day is based on client needs which can change quickly, so it does consist of long hours at times, but the reward is great. Something that should standout as well, is the investment of the company back into its employees through benefits and growth and development opportunities - it is all there. The longer I am with the company, the more I continue to learn... There are a lot of very smart individuals in this company with a wealth of knowledge!

    Cons

This is not an 8-5 or a 40-hour work week job. If that is what your goal is this is not the job for you. In order to be successful, you need to put in the work and effort, but the reward is worth it. We are often in the office from 7:30am - 6:30pm. However, again, it is worth it when the time is put in.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The room for growth and opportunity isn't predicated on seniority, rather performance. If you want to find a company where they take your effort seriously rather than how long you've been there for this company is right for you.

    Cons

Work life balance is challenging at times. Finding the happy medium is stretched thin which creates a lot of burn out in employees.

    Advice to Management

Foster growth from a nurturing standpoint, do not try to push everyone to reach a different tier at set stages in their tenure.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's a first shift job, that works only on weekdays. But the job will keep you busy through an average day. Many of coworkers are helpful and positive.

    Cons

There are not many opportunities for raises. You get get paid every two weeks. There are not a lot of chances for upward mobility. It takes a great deal of time for you to be able to use your vacation time.

    Advice to Management

    Just focus on your job.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, culture, earning potential/stock options. Work is hard but, the work environment is fun and pretty laid back for a corporate setting. We do a lot of team builders, happy hours, and events outside of work.

    Cons

Hours are way too long. In the beginning it takes time to establish your networks but, it is completely feasible to hit goals in a 40 hour work week (50+ hours per week is mandatory).

    Advice to Management

For the size of the company, there could be more career opportunities available. Everyone starts in recruiting role and moves into a sales career path (and don't get me wrong there is a lot of earning potential) but, you eventually hit a plateau from a development standpoint. Unless a director level position becomes available (which doesn't happen too frequently), there isn't much upward mobility available from here.

I have been working at Aerotek as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

1.5 X Overtime pay is nice. Very little micromanagement. They try to take care of their employees the best they can.

    Cons

Benefits packages aren't great and rather expensive. Management isn't always attentive, and working as a subcontractor on an outside project almost assures they know very little of what you actually contribute.

    Advice to Management

On-Site management or at least supervisors for sub-contract projects would be ideal. Talking to management off-site can be tedious and often times lead no where.
