I have been working at Aerotek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have great benefits and good pay. They also have bonuses starting every three months and then every six months.

    Cons

No work life balance. The team leaders are very pushy and are not very good motivators. They worry about quantity instead of the quality of a vehicle when painting. You will get pulled to the side if you do not move fast enough. So no regard to the safety of the employee.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you are hiring the right leaders to provide good moral to your employees.

    Pros

    Team-oriented, helpful co-workers.

    Cons

Favoritism, no work life balance, and misleading about initial salary, have to work 50 hours a week minimum.

    Advice to Management

Don't brainwash the employees into thinking it is the only job and company for them.

I worked at Aerotek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Aerotek will take you in straight out of college and train you on the necessary skills needed to become a successful business person. This is refreshing because many graduates struggle to get their foot in the door with a multi-billion company like Aerotek. I was very thankful for the opportunity and do not think it is possible to learn anymore than I did from a business standpoint in under two years. You can make excellent money here and they will invest in your development from day one. The training you receive will have other companies foaming at the mouth for you. After all, you are behavioral interviewing candidates for a living and coaching them on answers hiring managers look for. Interviewing elsewhere is a breeze.

Aerotek also hires all the same types of people all across the nation and you will most likely make some lifelong friends out of this job. It is a young and outgoing culture no matter what office you go to.

    Cons

Though you can make great money, it is too situational based on your office and leadership. The leaders in the office will tell otherwise, but your Account Manager matters. The senior AMs will show favoritism to their own Recruiter and have the final say to the DBO come opportunity for promotions. If you are dealt a bad hand (irrelevant AM) and don't play the game with senior AMs, you will be overlooked despite performance. Being overlooked despite performance and work ethic will lead to burnout very quickly with all of the hours and effort you have to put towards this job. This job is your life and it never stops even on the weekends in some cases.

All daily activity is tracked and can make you feel very micromanaged. If you have an off day finding candidates, your AM will go through all your activity from the day start to finish to "help" you. There needs to be more respect towards performing Recruiters, as this can make you feel like you are being baby sat.

    Advice to Management

Too many grey areas for promotions. Stop promoting the people who play the game and overlooking people who put their head down and fill requirements. This would lead to promoting the right people and prevent turnover from top performers.

I worked at Aerotek full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people at Aerotek are great, a fun team environment

    Cons

There is a lack of work/life balance it is very normal to work 60 hours a week, and unrealistic goals to hit every week. When the goals are not hit it causes chaos. The hours put in do not feel appreciated. You are paid $14/h until you hit your sales goal which realistically is around 6 months, and they sell it at a 50k base.

    Advice to Management

    Celebrate the small wins.

I have been working at Aerotek as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Facilitation of the interview and hiring process and through Allegis, as the parent company having affiliations everywhere.

    Cons

They have the process down and prioritize corporate profits over human relations

    Advice to Management

As a long term contract employee I would recommend valuing work experience as highly if not more highly than a shiny new degree. The trend to fill employment roles with irrelevantly educated bachelor's and masters degrees, while devaluing on the job training and decades of experience is detrimental to corporations and contractors equally.
