I worked at Aerotek for less than a year

    Pros

hands on learning and great training program. A great environment to learn the industry and sales in general

    Cons

high expectations and results oriented. This could maybe a con for some people if you are not looking to work hard. I loved the environment and to see everyone working hard to meet their goals. The expectations were motivating for me and kept me accountable.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and... sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

    Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not... up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.

I worked at Aerotek full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent growth potential, great training, good benefits, energetic work culture, and fair work / life balance.

    Cons

Long hours (No weekends, but you'll work 50 hours a week minimum). Step up or step out mentality can be draining. Making 60 - 80 outbound calls daily isn't for everyone.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with, given tools to succeed, great training. Unlimited commission, you work hard, hustle, you'll make $$. Competitive work environment, always learning, something new everyday. No weekends, pay weekly. You're in charge of your own business, run it the way you want.

    Cons

Sometimes it's long days. You're dealing with people, and some people are unreliable. Mediocre benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Love management on my end.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great training program that sets you up for success. The training period length can vary based on performance with the average time being around 13 weeks. With this role you get out what you put in with both development & financial gain. A good base and uncapped commission really sets you up for success as long as you are wiling to put in the work. Overall great company.

    Cons

Potential for long hours, not really a con as this leads to higher financial gain.

I have been working at Aerotek full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

One of the best staffing companies in the industry. Great training, competitive base salary of $50k, and generous paid time off. Culture of high achievers and people you’d want to grab a beer with on the weekend. The Orlando office has done a good job with diversity initiatives. Leadership has good intentions and cares about employees. Good environment for anyone willing to work hard, can overcome adversity with... positivity, and wants to be great at their job. Promotion opportunities available with other departments/within the Allegis Group family of companies, as Aerotek promotes from within. Abundant opportunities for those looking to continue in a performance-based career path. Aerotek rewards its producers well and will provide the tools for success.

    Cons

Your success as a Recruiter will depend a lot on your Account Manager and the quality of their business. The staffing industry is not for people looking to just clock in and clock out, as the standard work week is around 45 to 50 hours. High turnover like any sales-driven role. Agency recruiting is numbers and performance based, which is not for everyone. A lot of employees get their start in recruiting with Aerotek... and move on to become corporate recruiters.
