    Pros

Great company who cares about the communities it is involved with. ACS is remaining strong and healthy even in a bad economy. I don't know of very many Fortune 500 companies where the CEO has a call with the Top 1000 managers of the company to share information and answer questions. Very personal and tries hard to communicate to the leadership team then encourages them to communicate with their people.

    Cons

    Would like better health insurance

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work

    Pros

I have intelligent and capable leaders that empower me to take on new challenges and increase my contribution. Client satisfaction is a top priority.

    Cons

Outsourcing is a tough business and in order to remain competitive some jobs have to go to locations outside of the US, which is frustrating to some delivery teams.

    Advice to Management

Continue to grow communications to employees. It's motivating to understand the strategy.

    Pros

Progressive culture. Focused on results, performance, growth, bottom line. The company competes aggressively and successfully with EDS, IBM, CSC, Perot Systems and others, yet is not as well know as it should be. Management is progressive in terms of work-life balance, particularly in comparison to other firms I have worked for. The company recently revamped its entire HR delivery approach in order to anticipate new corporate structural forms that will begin to emerge in the 21st century.

    Cons

Not well known enough yet. EDS and IBM are often seen on the Sunday afternoon PGA events, but ACS does not have the marketing budget for these kinds of events, at least at this point.

    Advice to Management

    Continue aggressive growth.

    Pros

The company is a well-respected leader in its field; confidence in leadership; the company's business model does well in challenging economic environments. I feel good about coming to work everyday.

    Cons

There are none; if anything, the downsides might be the current economic environment we're operating in.

    Advice to Management

Continue to place emphasis on communicating with employees (they do this well and I'd like it to continue).

    Pros

This is a smart, hungry company that is smart enough to have a diversified business plan to weather a tough economy. The company consists of smart, entrepreneurial people who are working hard to ensure that the company is successul for employees and stockholders.

    Cons

Becasue ACS has grown through acquisitions, it feels much like a startup.

    Advice to Management

Executive leadership has done a great job of guiding the company through some very tough times. While other companies are on the rocks, ACS continues to show that it is a strong performer.

    Pros

They hired an old fart when nobody else would. Once hired, they will let you do just about anything your skillset matches.

    Cons

Headcount varies depending on project demands. Siloing tends to cause overlap and redundancies that could be eliminated by better inter-departmental communications.

    Advice to Management

Stay in touch with your staff. We like to see and hear from you.

    Pros

Your ability deal with difficult customers makes it an ideal job. Plus the operations managers are very supportive and teady to help. The schedule is also very flexible for those who have kids. They also have a sales payout scheme.

    Cons

Too challenging. The expectations are too high, plus there's really no job security there.

    Advice to Management

Work at developing better standards by making sure employees get benefits.

    Pros

Love the environment, friendly coworkers and management, very laid back good atmosphere, ability to finish homework during down time, management is very understanding of personal issues and make adjustments as needed. Show up for work and do what you are supposed to do and you will have no issues.

    Cons

The ability to move up in the company is the only issue I have with A.C.S. The supervisors should know almost every detail for each client they are responsible for. They should be able to take over a phone call if it seems to be getting out of hand.

    Advice to Management

This is an excellant job for a student fresh out of highshool, or a college student. The benefits are good and the pay is good for field. It would be a good learning experience and good job security for a student.
