    I worked at Aflac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Management is very engaged with making sure that employees maintain a good work-life balance. Management is very demanding, but training is provided and managers really want to see employees excel. Salary ranges were very good for the market, and the company has excellent health benefits.

    Cons

    Living in Columbus is the downside to working at Aflac. If they were 70 miles closer to Atlanta, I might still be working there.

    Advice to Management

    Company has wonderful values and perhaps the best senior management in the industry.

    Pros

    Aflac is a company where they have mastered appreciating their employees and from all levels of management. If a company wants to know ways to encourage a positive atmosphere within their corporation, they will most definitely need to talk to the people of Aflac. Outstanding job!

    Cons

    It is nearly impossible to think of a con. This company just offers a lot of benefits for their employees. It is definitely the heartbeat of Columbus, GA.

    There are definitely lots of challenges, but as long as your coordinator gives you the tools you need during training you can overcome them all!

    Pros

    Family oriented company that provides employees with the tools to successfully perform job duties.

    Cons

    The call center should offer 24 her customer service and more opportunities to work from home.

    Advice to Management

    Call Center Management needs to be rotated. They have become too comfortable in their positions. Call centers are evolving and new management may be needed to meet the new challenges.

    Pros

    You can set your own hrs. You are rewarded for a good job. They are an ethical company.have had awesome mentors. I have learned a lot about the INS business.

    Cons

    you work on a commission basis, so if you don't go out there & work, you don't get paid.You have to be the advocate for your policy holders,file their claims, etc, & make sure they understand their policies, & what they need to file a claim. Not ,that that is a draw back, that is good customer service.

    Advice to Management

    You need to hire more people at HQs, claims need to be processed faster ( get rid of the 4 day, paid, sometimes that happens, but sometimes it doesn't, & is left up to the agent, to apologize & explain why) policy holders believe the 4 days, and the agent takes the flack, when it is not paid timley. Agents are not always, paid in a timely manner. apps pend for varies reasons & when I send in what is needed, I am told, they are a week or 2 behind. These should go to the top of the list. We still have bills to pay. Sometimes I call to see if they have received my fax. Am told yes, still pends, I call back am told they never received it. I fax it again several times, call back & am told they receive the first one ,along with all the others. #%! Can be very frustrating when dealing with HQ.I can understand why policy holders get frustrated. Please work on making the experience better for policy holders & agents.
