    Pros

Excellent benefits, friendly work environment, management is very knowledgeable and helpful, this company cares about their employees, many perks.

    Cons

very very large office floor with very low walls cubicles, other phone conversations and conversations among other employees is very distracting. Management seems to feel that should not be a problem.

    Advice to Management

As in most large organizations, sometimes people get promoted without the proper management skills.

I worked at AgFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Creative Services Department was full of great, talented individuals. Management was always open to feedback. On-boarding was thorough and well-structured. As an intern, you get real client/in-house work. Great for building a portfolio.

    Cons

Content could be a little dry and repetitive. Few people know what AgFirst is.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Open door policy was effective.

    Pros

401k is nice and facilities are nice. Nice location that is close to middle of downtown. Free parking for employees.

    Cons

Very Political place to work. Don't trust most of the Managers. They are only out to make themselves look good.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what some of the backhanded things the Managers are doing to their own employees.

    I worked at AgFirst full-time

    Pros

Most people are truly genuine down to earth to work with.

    Cons

The upper management doesn't truly know what the regular employees are doing. The company does not appear to notice how many people are leaving for better jobs and why.

I have been working at AgFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work with all the technology I need to develop instructional design: appropriate software, conference rooms with great tech features, Citrix environment to work remotely. I have an official agreement to work one day per week from home, a perk I enjoy. My supervisor and management are upbeat, personable, and dedicated to helping me succeed here. Everybody I've worked with in the company so far is friendly and kind. There is a sense of professionalism here to get the job done, but enjoy one another.

    Cons

For me, it's only the commute to work. 100% telecommuting is not an option, but perhaps 2-days per week will become an option.

    Advice to Management

Catered events like company meetings, retirement parties, overflow from training events, etc. increase networking and morale. I enjoy that perk, thanks!

I worked at AgFirst full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits and most of the people are great people.

    Cons

Management doesn't care anything about their people. They say they do, but they will fire a tenured employee without thought or good reason. I have nothing nice to say at this point, so I will stop here.

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse. Value your people like they value that company.

I have been working at AgFirst full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been with the company 25+ years and it has been a great experience where I have built my career among my mentors and friends who supported my along the way.

    Cons

As with anything there will be days/contacts that frustrate but that is part of life and there are no cons that come close to outweighing the pros of being a part of this company.
