I worked at Aggregate Industries UK full-time

    Pros

My position was well-trained and my team was supportive & helpful. Freedom to perform my work without being micromanaged. Lots of variety in my workload. Learned a lot from my team.

    Cons

The region in which I worked had a very negative culture. Not a team atmosphere. Some people seemed lazy, not forthcoming, or were not strong in their positions.

I have been working at Aggregate Industries UK full-time

    Pros

Some of the best benefits out there. Seems like a good safe place to work. Plenty of hours and pay is upwards on the higher end of payscale. I was offered the job, now just waiting on my pre-employment paperwork to go through.

    Cons

Good ole corporate America. They're doing the most thorough investigation of myself that I have ever seen. Backround, credit, dac, ect... I'm actually kinda worried about not getting the job cause my credit isn't good enough?

    Advice to Management

No advice I can give at this time. I wish America wasn't the way it is now...corporate America has taken over

I worked at Aggregate Industries UK (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get along with people, everyone likes to have fun, but is serious when needed. A company truck is included

    Cons

Low pay for management, not a whole lot of hours required, about 50, but no overtime compensation. Not very many cons

    Pros

    Large Company (LafargeHolcim) benefits.
Driver gets to be left alone most of the time.

    Cons

Poor management - drivers not rewarded in any way.
They always recognize the bad, never recognize the good work.
As with anywhere, some people can get on the inside track with managers.
Low hours in winter, too much work in summer.

    Advice to Management

Either pay market wages or treat people much better. Either one would suffice.

    Pros

Job life balance. Good company reputation, good compensation. Part of the largest company in the construction and building materials (LafargeHolcim)

    Cons

Lack of career path, few resources to accomplish all corporate initiatives. Too much change in a compress time frame. Lack of support practical from support functions such as environmental and safety. These functions provide plenty of theoretical guidance but no practical support to actually implement their initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Work more on human capital development and work with high potential employees to get them ready for further advancement
