    Pros

Decent salary / benefits are offered.

    Cons

Management is frequently out of touch with day-to-day work. Communication is sparse and often inaccurate or misleading. Promotions and raises are often based on favoritism, not skill or experience.

    Advice to Management

Employee well-being and the bottom line are not opposing goals.

I worked at Aggreko full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good non management people to work with.

    Cons

Management ethics are a matter of convenience. HR backs up managers that lie. They feel that with Texas being an "at will state" they have no need to validate any reason for firing someone. When requesting meetings with HR management to resolve dispute issues, they ignore you.

    Advice to Management

Learn what Talent Management is, train your people on equal employment laws, and start over with your entire training and development team... they cannot even develop their own team, let alone others.

Have one tech that get paid fro 8 hours and is not even at the shop fro 8 hours, when working at shop employees sit in office 6-7 hours a day and management does nothing about it.

    Advice to Management

Upper management has no Ideal what goes on Area manager has not even been to our shop in over a year.

I have been working at Aggreko full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay well, good time off practice, but you have to work around the clock to get it.

    Cons

Lack of direction, everyone is only focused on making their big salaries at the top. Good ole boys network.

    Advice to Management

Do not create a "have: and have not" culture

I have been working at Aggreko full-time

    Pros

Benefits Package is good, pay is good

    Cons

Human Resources and Management is terrible. HR is never available, they are always in meetings. Too many managers. I've silently watched several wonderful employees have problems and they receive little to no assistance from HR, they have eventually left. My respect and view completely changed when I saw a key marketing communications member laid off because of personal reasons and not for business reasons at all. This showed me that no one can be trusted and that if you challenge someone they will find a reason to let you go. Although my job is secure, I've lost respect.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes and hold on to valuable employees. Find out why HR is always gone and never in the office.

I worked at Aggreko full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There used to be pros but the good management either quit or got canned and replaced with morons

    Cons

Everything. They care more about making a buck than taking care of their people. The management is clueless and they are running the company into the ground. I give it 5 years before they are bought out by United Rentals. If you want to work for a good rental company that cares about their employees, go to United

    Advice to Management

Get a clue and get rid of the middle and upper management that is running the company into the ground. Start taking care of your people like you used to.

    Pros

Good basic sales training, got along well with team members. Learned how to operate under immense pressure

    Cons

Totally replaceable footsoldier. Personally knew more than five people that left the company in less than one year. On call, even as a sales rep, for a WEEK at a time. Highly stressful, and zero work-life balance

    Advice to Management

Inspire your employees instead of lighting fires under them. Realize that your employees are people and not mindless "means to an end"

I worked at Aggreko full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Diverse opportunities to develop your career in various departments with good people on the ground and plenty to do. Corruption and politics are so rife that it cannot be long until this company is taken over by a decent organisation willing to make it a decent place to work.

    Cons

rotten to the core with cliques and politics. heard of too many good people and good friends being stabbed in the back by managers trying to stay in a job they are unqualified for. The place is rife with animosity and corruption, so unless you are happy to stay at shop floor level and take your chances that your manager supports the same football team or ethnic group then you should avoid this company like the plague.

    Advice to Management

Leave, because you are destroying a once great company. Your Behaviours and attitudes are polar opposites of what you ask of others.

I have been working at Aggreko full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Grading system for employees benefits.

    Cons

Management constantly asked for feedback through "anonymous" methods and the real output showing to the public is not really the one which is voted by the employees. Aggreko was a great place to work until few years back. The new management is really "useless" and doesn't know how the business to be run and support the employees. There is a big frustration build among the employees since the recent restructure and that is reaching to the end stage now. Lot of good talented employees are leaving Aggreko. The rest of the good talented employees has been taken out from the company in the name of "redundancy" and the senior management has appointed their favorite guys in such positions. Most of them appointed doesn't have any business background or experience. Employees lost their passion and demoralized.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes and show appreciation for your employees before they are all gone. As someone commented stop promoting "idiots" to manager/Dept head positions who doesn't have any business background of the position they are holding. The senior management should remember one thing that they are destroying a very good managed company in the past.
