I worked at Agilex Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They cared ALOT about their interns. We had frequent speakers and were invited to several company events. The mentorship was good.

    Cons

Sometimes it felt like everyone at the company was blowing to much steam their own way. It's a culture where everyone admires the company- which is a good thing. But sometimes it seemed a bit much.

I worked at Agilex Technologies full-time

    Pros

    -Fellow employees are friendly.
    -Flexible, laid back atmosphere.
-Agilex has its own office, so you are not stuck in an overcrowded government office space.

    Cons

-Office was permeated with people who were fresh out of college. It was discovered that some of these employees were asked to name their own salary, and hence there is significant variation in salaries for people with the same experience.
-Virtually no room for career growth. You are put on a project and never get to leave the project. There is no room for upward mobility either.
-No room for salary growth. Your yearly increase will not cover the cost of living adjustment.
-Trying to push a startup culture in terms of office design but with none of the actual benefits of working at a startup.
-You are judged not on value of the work you produce but on appearances.
-Too many bodies for too little work. You will be bored.

Amazing work environment, great people, good company structure, and they care about their employees

    Cons

Smaller company so the benefits are not as good as a cooperation, but still do very well.

    Pros

Good salary; great benefits, a few really good people on staff.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations, sweat shop mentality, very HIGH STRESS environment, you are very simply a "number." The leadership does not give a rat's A about their subordinates.

    Advice to Management

Their goal was to sell the company, and they just did. Go pound sand...

"Upper level employees arrogant, take sport in publicly mocking other employees for minor mistakes"

    Pros

The project is good, too bad the senior employees working on it are not.

    Cons

The senior employees who are leads and some of the managers are conceited, take sport in humiliating people for their mistakes, and use public forums to name people who make minor mistakes and make them out to be dummies. This appears to be the company's culture, and I am very sorry I took a job with this company that seems to have a very unprofessional culture. Senior employees mock and harass other employees and call them out publicly on project forums, no one seems to do anything to stop this, it is causing HUGE morale issues on this project!

    Advice to Management

Fix the unprofessional work ethic of your senior employees on the project with Veteran's Affairs!

    Cons

401k really sucks other than that it's good.

    Pros

+ A large number of talented people at all levels
+ A successful formula for helping the Federal Government solve difficult problems
+ Mostly flat management structure with little bureacracy

    Cons

+ Growing pains in the form of constant facilities changes
+ No pool of tenured people to draw on for new work, so no better than anyone else fishing the street for talent to staff new projects
+ Increasing delivery quality problems due to not having a solution to the resourcing problem
