    Developing Employee Owned business
    Great training opportunities
    Bi-annual performance reviews

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Make employees feel as valued as possible - we all need to feel appreciated and that our work is worthwhile, however small a part we may play.

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Agilisys provides services in a market which is being disrupted by technological evolution, political pressure, downward fiscal pressure and increasing expectation. Despite that, and the often difficult environment it can create for management and for people working with customers, the organisation continues to win new business, extend existing contracts and tries (doesn't always succeed but who does?) to put employees first.

Leadership team stable - committed to business (see below)

    Cons

People (not only management) don't always respect weekends and evenings. Some have referred to hero culture

Leadership team been around for years - would benefit from new (female?) blood (!)

    Advice to Management

Invest in people, allow them to rest and learn and you'll have an even more productive, even happier workforce

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really great place to work - leadership are very responsive to talented people, recognise success well, and open to taking new opportunities.
Being employee owned adds a lot of value - recent consultations saw a change in staff perks after staff asked for it.
Lots of opportunities for career development.
    Investment in training.

    Cons

There is a bit of a hero culture when it comes to working long hours. Staff need to enforce their own work-life balance.

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It’s a sink or swim approach when you become a manager so you learn a lot very quickly which helps you in the long run
Get to work with some fantastic people
Hard work is recognised by the majority of the management team

    Cons

One particular director chooses the “rule with fear” approach which in the eyes of a lot of people in the organisation borders on bullying but nobody appears to be stepping up and managing the problem. That being said, the rest of the leadership team are very approachable and do a fantastic job
Work life balance can be a challenge at times
Pay doesn’t always reflect the difficulty of the roles
High staff turn over at the moment due to restructures within the senior team

    Advice to Management

Consider managing the director mentioned above much more closely and you’ll be shocked by what you find when you scratch the surface, let alone dig a bit deeper.
Keep communicating with the “advisors on the ground” they are key to a lot of the campaigns within the company, do a great job and deserve recognition.

I have been working at Agilisys full-time

    Pros

Good place to up skill quickly but not for the long term.

    Cons

Old processes, systems and ways of doing things (that are very out of date). Very decentralised and employees within different divisions do not interact. High volume of people leaving the business due to changes in the organisation. Lack of strategy is apparent. Senior management tend not to interact with people who are not at the same level.

    Advice to Management

The mindset and culture of the company needs to be shifted. Be more inclusive, create an open door policy where employees are heard. Be transparent and treat your employees like people and not just your bottom line.

I have been working at Agilisys full-time

    Pros

Agilisys provides a great platform for personal development and peer-peer support. The support from senior leaders are also easily accessible meaning the organisation almost operates a flat hierarchical structure. The EOT scheme plays a big role for the company's structure and opinions/advice/suggestions are always welcomed/encouraged by senior members of the company.

    Cons

Doesn't provide competitive pay compared to other companies in similar industry.

You have to be a self starter to work here
    Managers are very rude

I worked at Agilisys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really there isn't any to be honest.

    Cons

    No room for development
    Managers are completely useless
    No guidance
You don't have any value there
    No investment
    Lack of training
You do repeated work that others have done. How inefficient is that !
    It is too corporate !

    Advice to Management

I recommend that all the manager up to partner level get training on how to lead a team. From my experience there the managers are arrogant and think they are on top of the world.
