I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great breadth of opportunities if that's what you strive for. Genuinely passionate and smart people. Some great leaders.

    Cons

Disorganised and a bit archaic - some questionable leadership because of this.

    Advice to Management

Depends - look after and listen to the people who can make a difference. And don't be afraid to have challenging conversations.

I have been working at Agilisys (Less than a year)

    Pros

Complicated environments, good opportunities to learn if you are OK with on the job, think on your feet googling as opposed to actual training and development.

    Cons

    Very very immature management "style".
OK if your face fits, outsiders are not really welcomed with open arms, more talked about behind their back and made fun of - playground style!
LOTS of finger pointing - total blame culture shuts down the innovative and talented staff whilst enabling the back-side coverers and tale tellers.

    Advice to Management

Break down the cliques and GROW UP

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance is very flexible - but you need to be in control of it, otherwise the organisation will control you. Opportunity to develop business is strong and necessary because this company thrives on fresh ideas and innovation. Part of a broader organisation (Blenheim Chalcot) which has advantages.

    Cons

Limited/hard to progress career and training and not proactively managed. Very different cultures and operating models across the 4 divisions of this company and between large accounts. See be clear where you are going. Employee ownership shouldn't be a deciding factor for you to decide to dedicate years to this company. Pay increases are poor/non-existent - need to fight very hard for those.

    Advice to Management

Reward your staff and raise financial targets for employee benefit not shareholder benefit now that it is an EOT.

    Pros

    Nice to your face, occasionally

    Cons

Stab you behind your back. Unprofessional

    Advice to Management

None needed. They'll continue to win contracts then regurgitate staff until all the good ones are gone. They'' suffer long term

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed environment and workpace wasn't intense

    Cons

    Lack of training.
Poor Management from some team leaders and project managers.
No employee appreciation, fear like any another other person no matter of what you do. You just don't feel valued.
EOT is very limited and not really any benefits for the employees that's not standard.
Never once got a bonus or anything else rewarding.

    Advice to Management

Start appreciating your employees and go through with promoises that are made.

    I worked at Agilisys full-time

    Pros

Good work colleagues are the only thing that made working at Agilisys bearable.

    Cons

    Limited training
    No pay rises
Management lurch from 1 disaster to another
    No work life balance

    Advice to Management

You should pay workers what they are worth.

    Pros

Agilisys is a great place to work, the people you work with and the DNA of the company make it a very special place to be. There is a fairly flat structure which means you can get on, progress well and do a role that is interesting but varied.
They have a strong client base across Public Sector working with some significant authorities which means there is always interesting projects to be part of.
The recent Employee Owned Trust status means that the staff are much more involved in the success of the company although its early days with the process.

    Cons

The EOT whilst a positive needs to really benefit staff - at the moment there isn't a lot of progress in this area and staff do see this cynically which isn't the intention but I think more could be done here

    Advice to Management

Make the EOT matter to employees, start to focus on core business areas to support staff and customers better

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Agilisys provides a great opportunity to progress and to learn. The exposure you get to senior management and the autonomy given is significant. As an organisation that is constantly evolving, it is fast paced which means it's never boring!

    Cons

The Employee Ownership Trust status has great potential. As it's in its very early stages, more needs to be done to embed this structure. However, already it has delivered excellent benefits for staff: a revised maternity and paternity policy, fundraising and EOT Day celebration events, and the elected representatives have direct access to the Chief Executive.

    Advice to Management

Continue to give the EOT the time and input that you currently are - it's a great vehicle for staff engagement.
