    Pros

Good company values - giving back to the community and making a difference to millions of people
    Developing Employee Owned business
    Great training opportunities
    Bi-annual performance reviews

    Cons

Benefits packages are still only just developing as part of an Employee Ownership review
    Heavy based in London
    Intranet needs improvement

    Advice to Management

Make employees feel as valued as possible - we all need to feel appreciated and that our work is worthwhile, however small a part we may play.

    Pros

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Listen more to remote working staff and re-model the matrix reporting structure

    I worked at Agilisys full-time

    Pros

    • The majority of colleagues are friendly and decent
    • There are some genuinely good perks and benefits (Perks at Work, Cobens, Pension Scheme)
    • Opportunity to make more money by doing weekend shifts
    • Some of the Service Management team are great to work with and genuinely want the best for you

    Cons

    • The average salary for Service Desk Analysts is far below the industry standard
    • The majority of promotions are verbal and not written in your contract
    • There is an expectation to stay late without pay
    • Advertised bonuses are non-existent, regardless of performance levels
    • Service Desk Analysts are expected to remain at their desk all day, with breaks being timed to the second and heavily scrutinised (unless you're a smoker, and smoke with the boss, in which case take as long as you want!)
    • There is no clear progression path for individuals: Often companies set out a career plan for their staff, however Agilisys does not
    • Technical and Service Management roles are often outsourced and not offered internally. However, persistent and consistent failure can occasionally lead to being moved to Service Management positions(???)
    • During my final month at Agilisys, I was belittled, looked down upon and almost bullied
    • Management often belittles staff and has no idea how to speak to Analysts in a non-derogatory way (swearing at staff is common)
    • Management often speaks of HR as a joke, insinuating that they can get away with dodgy practices
    • Hardware used by Service Desk Analysts is way below the industry standard and performs very slowly, in a role where you’re expected to be highly efficient
    • Agilisys Managed Services often mislead clients, by promising to dedicate a certain number of staff to their account, then understaffing and undercutting the client (and pocketing the money one assumes?)
    • Service Desk stats are often falsified and presented to the client on the premise of them being correct
    • There is a handful of staff which are treated in a favourable way compared to others, and their careers are often fast-tracked
    • There is a charade on show when senior members of staff visit the Rochdale office – they do not see the Rochdale office’s true colours

    Advice to Management

    • I would love to fill this section in, although I feel it will probably be ignored anyway. Looking at previous Glassdoor reviews for Agilisys based in Rochdale, no action is taken within the company to address issues raised. Thankfully, I am now out of this hellhole! My new job has opened my eyes as to how a proper company should be run.

I have been working at Agilisys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I’ve read some reviews bemoaning the lack of training available. I strongly don’t agree. There’s a keen desire to keep individuals up skilled on Microsoft, and AWS cloud services. I’m non-technical myself, but I see the communications across the company and I have no doubt if I wanted to change role they would support me.

You get to work with individuals who are at the top of their game, and use cutting edge technology.

    Cons

Savings made by cutting staff numbers can leave areas lacking in resource. Sometimes the budget drives decision making more than it should. I’d prefer to see the company make slightly less profit but enable staff to have a better work life balance.

    Advice to Management

The growing sales team and the pipeline of business is a big step in the right direction. Keep doing what you’re doing.

    I worked at Agilisys full-time

    Pros

Some highly skilled and talented staff.
Good sales team bring in new work

    Cons

Management all seemed to have come from other companies in the IT sector so the company doesn't have its own identity
Lots of promises were made about the Employee Ownership Trust but several years later nothing has materialized
Management are very autocratic and don't listen to staff
To achieve performance targets you have to work long hours
Difficult to books holidays if you work in a small team

    Advice to Management

Saying that people are the company's best asset is different from believing it and acting on it.
