    Cons

I worked at Aimco Apartment Homes full-time

    Pros

Beautiful views of the foothills, decent location and no working on the weekends

    Cons

They treat the designers like they're 10 years old with a lack of trust, opinion and respect. The designers are the bottom of the totem pole with no room for advancement. Just like every other corporate position the place is a popularity contest and you're disliked from the start. They created their corporate values and culture but it is heavily forced and beyond phony. For a corporate position the pay is on the low end...

I worked at Aimco Apartment Homes full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No working on the weekends and nice views of the foothills

    Cons

They label every position incorrectly which is misleading, meaning they hire designers but truly want production artists. They don't care about your opinion and design process nor in innovation and pushing design and experience to the next level as they preach in their values. They push a corporate culture on their employees, but truly not one member of management practices what they preach. Designers are brought in as...

    Advice to Management

Stand up for your design team and allow them to do their job. You constantly back the field and project managers when you're supposed to be the designer's management and be apart of the design team. As designers we all went to school and learned the fundamentals of design. The designers were hired for their skillset yet are never allowed to bring that skillset to the party.
