I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is an OK company to come to straight out of college, but not for long-term career development. Most employees get a decent amount of instrument time and a chance to learn some analytical techniques. Only a few employees work weekends. Employees I know in other parts of Air Liquide are happy with their jobs.

    Cons

Pay is well below average. Management does not get along within their own group. Employee morale is low and turn-over is high. Recently employees were instructed at a company wide (Balazs) meeting to not use bandaids from the company first aid kit for any injuries incurred away from work. This pretty much sums up the attitude of the local management towards employees.

    Advice to Management

Corporate - at least send timely updates on your promised efforts to improve the situation.
Local - take some management courses and learn to get along. There should be goals to move the company forward, not just to save pennies. Attain an attitude that employees have something to offer and should be allowed to grow in their jobs, not that they are simply manual labor.

I worked at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers were very good people and I'm not sure how most can stay there for so long.

    Cons

Severely underpaid for the amount of work. The upper management is very poor and doesn't know how to motivate their workers very well. No upward mobility in your career at Balazs.

    Advice to Management

    Replace the upper management.

I have been working at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits and living in CA!

    Cons

The entire experience was a big con. The management was not in control of their people. They allowed themselves to be pushed around by certain senior engineers who became the ultimate decision makers. There were no rules that anyone adhered by. On a daily basis, most employees faced hostile work environment and management did nothing about it.

I worked at Air Liquide (USA) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexable hours, 25 cent soda machine, good coworkers.

    Cons

The parent company doesnt care about any part of it not in Texas. Horible place to work due to no IT support, no HR department outside of Texas and 0 employee apprecation. Bare minimum compensation compared to peers.

    Advice to Management

Fight for your workers. A company is only successful if it rewards the most important part....the employees. You make billions and all we get is....Get back to work. How big does your yact have to be.
