    Award winning niche carrier. Inflight experience has good reputation.

    Cons

    Constant management changes mean constant changes in strategy. New managers with no experience jump in and throw out the team so they can reinvent the wheel every 2-3 years. Morale and trust at an all time low.

    Pros

    On the surface, there is a great awe from people who hear we work for Air New Zealand. Extra days off compared to the average full time worker in New Zealand. Allowance acquired overseas.

    Cons

    It appears that recruiting the correct number of crew required is not a top priority despite being short handed across the fleets for more than three years. It appears that due to not enough crew, current crew are facing minimal movement across fleets as well as opportunities to move up in ranks. It is not necessary for all hotels to have free wifi or fridges.

    The Kiwi culture is great, very inviting to foreigners working for ANZ's offshore offices. Great benefits and friendly work environment. The ANZ brand is top notch in the industry.

    Pros

    The company still has a good reputation for excellent in-flight experience.

    Cons

    There are only a few people who really 'run' things. Office moving to a more open plan - should illuminate dysfunctional behavior that mgmt has overlooked to date. No room for advancement with senior (25+ years) team in place.Favoritism thriving but not helpful to critical business goals. Good people have left and more plan to leave in 2015.

    Cons

    Frustrating to say the least and not a fun or a growing culture for any one under 35 years old (aka millennials). Niche market so if you don't have prior airline experience you most likely won't get hired. There is absolutely no room to grow in a regional office. Some of the people who have been at the LA office have been here for more than 30 years and will be doing the same job until they retire: so that means there is never a job available to apply for sometimes, years. There is only one HR person at the office so if you have a complaint, most time HR's decision will be biased. The say it's a "family environment" until someone in the company backstabs you to get you fired. Working for a company where the headquarters are based in a country that's technology is 10 years behind is counter productive to any one who lives in America.

    Pros

    I love working for Air New Zealand and it all comes down to the people. Engaged, passionate and innovative the people are without question among some of the worlds best. Like all companies we have our challenges but the people are what makes it all worthwhile. Based in New Zealand has it's benefits too!

    At times work practices can be siloed and we need to work harder at being one team.

    I have been working at Air New Zealand full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    very customer focused, good peer to peer relationship building. a real desire to empower the employee. Even though its large, you don't get lost in the shuffle and most departments work very well together. There is ongoing integration of different departments with their international counterparts which is long awaited

    Cons

    practical application of systems and organized responses somewhat slow. headquartered in New Zealand, the overseas branches are subject to corporate headquarter decisions that are geared toward New Zealand in the main. Limited opportunity for advancement in an aviation market that is shrinking outside of New Zealand headquarters.
