I have been working at Air Transat full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, fun layovers, good per diem, nice aircrafts, unionized, flight benefits, holiday pay, paid vacation, nice accommodations on layovers...

    Cons

Scheduling on reserve, start pay rate, seasonal layoffs, crew meals are dodgy, crew sked sometimes tries to play juniors who don't know what is and isn't allowed...

    Advice to Management

Stop letting employees be the last to know everything. We tend to learn things/ changes from the news.

I have been working at Air Transat full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great morale amongst staff. Work with interesting, funny, amazing people. Every day is a new adventure. Fun job with good compensation in a positive work environment.

    Cons

Sometimes we can feel a bit neglected when extra duties/ pressure to preform under less desirable circumstances are pushed on us in order for the company to save even more money.

    Advice to Management

Instead of spending all the extra cash on CEO/Upper Management bonuses/stock options, use it to provide a better customer experience vis a vie seat comfort, and a decent meal which will in turn win you favour with the inflight crew who will have the tools to do an amazing job.
