    I have been working at Air University full-time

    Pros

    - Work with motivated students with real world experience
    - Chance to build enduring networks in DoD
    - Chance to influence policy, if indirectly
    - Great salary opportunity

    Cons

    - Heavy teaching load
    - Civilian/military divide takes time to understand
    - No tenure track, renewed in 3 or 5 year increments...but it opens doors into government

    Pros

    People work together to accomplish mission. Treated like a professional. Trusted to have your work done-not regulated by a time clock. Professional atmosphere.

    Cons

    Many regulations sometimes restrict innovation. Sometimes employ personnel based on educational certifications versus effectiveness in classroom.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on accreditation requirements can sometimes limit effectiveness of education. Work to make military instructor position career enhancing to bring in the best.

    Pros

    Very supportive colleagues and seniors , sometimes heavy work load.

    Cons

    Promotion criteria isn't clear
    University administration is reluctant to promote faculty
    No room for real research

    Good working environment, and facilities as far as office and basic job needs are concerned

    Cons

    Salary needs to be improved along with additional benefits like health program or funds etc.

    Bad Human resource system and HR office only an eyewash

    Reform yourself through proper HR management introducing reforms starting from proper work designs of each jobs, orientation sessions for new employees, clear career paths and fair promotion policies, equal pay policy etc
