    Positive Outlook

I worked at AirAsia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Visionary, risk-taking leadership, fantastic corporate culture with a 'we can achieve anything' feeling throughout the company. Career progression is good for those who have the drive to succeed. Flat management structure, minimal bureaucracy. Beautiful new corporate HQ in KL that has to be seen to be believed.

    Cons

Always on call. There are a very small number of people among the senior management who should be moved out as they lack management ability and only allowed to remain due to loyalty. Salaries are low, well below industry standard, this is a problem against a backdrop of rising consumer prices. Due to low salaries, many junior staff use it as a jumping off point to something better.

I have been working at AirAsia for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good, working environment is very challenging but fun.It can bring out the best and worse in you and teaches you how to manage them both.Love the company's vision

    Cons

Upper Level management politics especially in the main hub.Sometimes they tend to look down on the smaller stations. Also, you will live and Breathe AirAsia. Not much recognition given to the operation staff. Also once you commit a mistake, you're out.

I have been working at AirAsia full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very dynamic company with a lot of fun, hardworking people. I had an office job which afforded many opportunities for travel.

    Cons

Bosses expect you to be on call 24/7. You are expected to check emails during holidays. As the biggest LCC in the ASEAN, management and employees can be arrogant.
