    Pros

Good support team and proactive management. Very focused on narrow product niche. Has a global perspective.

    Cons

They are a relatively small player in their industry and don't show many signs of changing that significantly. Not much room for career advancement in such a small firm. Limited resources.

    Advice to Management

If you want to grow the US market, bring more focus on products meeting US requirements

    Pros

Travel discounts and some friendly people in the German office.

    Cons

Poorly managed with a lot of pandering and unnecessary displays of authority. Rampant selective preferential treatment. Employees are treated with a distinct lack of respect. Unprofessional colleagues. Lack of professional growth opportunities. Lack of mentorship. Consistently high turnover. Uninspired leadership and overall negative work environment.

    Advice to Management

    Respect your employees.
Leadership positions should go through an established vetting process.

    Pros

Good benefits. Travel perks. Interesting business.

    Cons

High turnover and so much improvisation.
    Unprofessional colleagues.

    Advice to Management

A manager must be a leader not a "diva"
    A manager shouldn't be a giving-orders-machine that can't make any sense.

I worked at AirPlus International full-time

    Pros

We traveled to Europe for sales meetings twice a year and received discounts on all personal flights to Europe on Lufthansa. Great opportunity to interact with other nationalities. The majority of employees were friendly.

    Cons

By the time I left the employee turnover was roughly 85% and continues to increase. The current management is extremely difficult to interact with and is very selective in who they want working for them (regardless of performance and willingness to cooperate and be a good team player). Overall a negative environment because of management and no amount of money is worth that type of unnecessary attitude and discrimination in the workplace.

    Advice to Management

You had hardworking employees who performed well for the company and were loyal to your company. However, you allowed someone in management to demoralize them. Work on building up and supporting your employees.

Possible to have a good work/life balance
    Positive atmosphere

    Advice to Management

I have been working at AirPlus International full-time

    Pros

Team environment is great. A young vibrant office with lots of socialising -annual summer & christmas parties, as well as lots of trips to the pub after work and random social events.
AirPlus is located in Chiswick Business Park which is a fantastic place to work, during the summer there is inter office football, netball and beach volleyball!

    Cons

Head Office is in Germany, so internal changes, processes and approvals can be quite slow with requests taking longer than needed. Communication and aligning interests between regional offices is not the best.

I have been working at AirPlus International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The flight benefits are very interesting and the atmosphere in the HQ is pleasant. Nice colleagues and nice food for an attractive price.

    Cons

Possibility to grow in the HQ but with time you realize that job offers for internal promotion are made "sur-mesure" for some colleagues.

    Advice to Management

Start again to fly with your own wings... Robotisation and standard processes are not the remedies to your ailments...

I have been working at AirPlus International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A real culture of employee development, pushed very strongly by senior management. Plenty of opportunities to move up and develop.
Comprehensive training in Miller Heiman, as well as a culture of teaching leadership skills across the business.
Great colleagues, regular socialising at the local bar with entire team, and inclusive events with and without alcohol.
The business park is fantastic and feels like a really fancy university campus. The office itself is very nice and has plenty of natural light and spacious desks.
Free weekly fruit delivery, as well as free tea and coffee all day every day.
    Great benefits package.

    Cons

Head office in Germany can be very bureaucratic.
