I worked at AirWatch full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to be with. Pays well, opportunities for travel and advancement, and you'll really sharpen your skillset.

    Cons

LOTS of moving pieces. Layoffs practically have their own day every January for hundreds of employees, due to sudden changes in direction. These major changes happen annually, so be ready to do a new job every 12 months. All from the VMware management though, AW management is fine.

    Advice to Management

Chill. It's not broken, stop fixing it.

I worked at AirWatch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Low ball offers initially, but good at ensuring employees have the best benefits, salary eventually catches up after 6 months.

    Cons

Company culture is very lackluster, has a decent vibe, but most workers are very unsatisfied with both product and direction of company. Managers are not particularly skilled at managing individuals but are rather experts in their technical skills, which makes for some short tempers and low employee appreciation that results in high employee turnover for some departments.

    Advice to Management

Focus on manager training and employee development. If you develop your employee talent, people won't leave.

I worked at AirWatch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

AW has Class-leading user interface, tremendous device support, IN-house developers writing code to stay ahead of trends, they have explosive customer adoption, expansive partnerships and industry stewardship and they are highly scaleable.

    Cons

End user productivity apps are a work in progress • Too comprehensive for smaller enterprises • Concerns with current state of Dell's purchase of EMC (and VMware) • Commercial relationships through EMC are behind larger incumbent vendors (notably IBM and Microsoft). More importantly management evaluations should be done by an independent outside party with real attention to the voice of the customer (in this case the employee)

    Advice to Management

Just because an individual contributor had success, this does not in anyway qualify him or her for management.

I worked at AirWatch (Less than a year)

    Pros

Employees make you feel equal to them rather than like an intern, giving you meaningful work. I very much felt like a member of the team. I knew that my work actually had an impact on the constant forward development of Airwatch, which not many interns can say.

The corporate culture is also enjoyable. There are many smart young professionals that, for me, provided a way to ask questions about my future career and what my next step should be. They also have professional panels in which the higher-ups come in and give their career stories and insight on how their beginnings went. It was very helpful.

    Cons

I have heard from other employees that working full time is a ton of work. Very much is expected of all employees and it can be very stressful, and work life balance can be interrupted often for some.
