    Pros

Co-workers are hardworking, knowledgeable and good to work with.

    Cons

Sr. level management is short sighted and overly demanding, creating additional work load and undue stress.

    Pros

One shift in the painting department; plenty of hours usually 12+ monday-saturday sometimes sundays. Other than that no real pros.

    Cons

One shift in the helicoptor painting department and the company waits until customers get their products before paying the employees; which can sometimes take a whole month before you receive a paycheck.

I have been working at Airbus as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Even though is a contractor, been here over 3 years. They don't layoff contractors often, work kind of stable.

    Cons

I feels like live under dictatorship environment. Only one way communication in my dept, not sure others dept.

    Advice to Management

Should consider convert well performed contractors to perm to add an asset to the company instead watching them walking out the door, it's company huge lost!

I worked at Airbus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No pressure. Decent pay. Job security.Plus you can build a collection of desk models of helicopters and airplanes.

    Cons

When I worked there, there was no commitment, and hence no support, for building the U.S. business outside of commercial airliners. All lip service. I hear from my former colleagues that the change in CEO didn't change things.

    Advice to Management

Decide whether you are serious about pursuing sales in the U.S. defense market. If so, make real investments. Otherwise, stop pretending that it is something the firm wants to do.

I worked at Airbus full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The salary was decent there I suppose.

    Cons

Management has no clue. They have laid off and sold off most all assets and infrastructure with a reorganization plan to peruse business that they have no experience or expertise. Although some have been there for quite sometime, senior level management is the most under experienced technically and business of any company I have ever worked for.... good luck........

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to cover your own ass and back stabbing others....

I worked at Airbus full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worthy cause. Ethical & hard-working employees.

    Cons

Current management is driving the company into the ground. Jack would not be happy about what has happened to his loyal employees and about the impact on the customers.

    Advice to Management

The employees know when management cares (about them, product quality, and customers) and when they don't. If you can't care, go management another company!

I worked at Airbus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are the only pros. If you can get past dreading to come to work.

    Cons

If you take the amount of hours they expect you to work and divide that into your salary, the pay isn't that great.

    Advice to Management

Quit telling people that they have to put up with upper management's condescending attitude. Morale can be torn down quicker than it will take to build it back up.

    Pros

Co-workers still care about the important things.

    Cons

Management is clueless about what make us successful in the past and how to now recapture that success.

    Advice to Management

Try and care about more than just quarterly profits.

I worked at Airbus full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The insurance benefits were excellent. Vacation and holiday was average. The greatest benefit was the friendly, casual work environment amongst the "worker bees".

    Cons

Upper management was unprofessional, dishonest, and actually encouraged illegal labor practices. Human resources failed the entire employee pool by refusing to address very real issues. Sexual harrassment complaints were never handled and other complaints were passed on to other (non-HR) employees to handle. No one in upper management was ever held accountable by the CEO for any negative actions. A completely unethical, unorganized organization.

    Advice to Management

My first words? Act like adults. Stop encouraging in-fighting. If you're going to call yourself a Director, Vice President or CEO, act like one. Your employees aren't stupid so stop treating them like they are. This isn't elementary school, so stop gossiping and choosing favorites. Treat ALL employees like human beings, not just the ones with an "important" title.
