    Pros

Depending with whom you are working, you could negotiate your autonomy and focus only on your own projects and tasks.

    Cons

Generally, but not always, you end up by assuming a lot of tasks which are not connected to your basic responsibilities, like creating presentations and exercise papers for different professors with whom you work.
    Low payment
    Poor Team work
Personal relationships based on keenness and other triggers than professional affinities or knowledge have a huge impact on your research projects
Low quality of research in many areas, due to unprofessional management of research projects
    Nepotism

    Advice to Management

Accept innovation and train your people to become better teachers and researchers, by really investing into their career path. Lots of projects designed just to be „checked” or directed to nourish other purposes than acquiring new skills and knowledge are demotivating for those who are passionate about their area of expertise.
