I worked at Alabama Farmers Cooperative full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked in the office mainly. Operates 8-5pm Mon-Fri. Sometimes needed to leave on Sunday to make it to various retail locations. Great work relationship with outside departments. Great benefits, 1 week vacation 1st year, 2nd year 2 weeks, 5 years 3 weeks. Sick time rolls over. Pay increases almost every year. Generally 3%. Newly renovated office, adequate computer equipment. The Computer guys were great.

    Christian environment.

    Cons

Some communication issues interdepartmental. As with any office job you will find cliques. Not easy to move up in the company. Beyond small office issues, no complaints.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on Keeping on.

I worked at Alabama Farmers Cooperative full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to work if your in between jobs.

    Cons

Hope that you can break into the 'good ole boy' circle or you have no chance of survival.

    Advice to Management

Learn cost accounting procedures. There is no real standard way of doing things from a financial perspective. Too difficult to take the temperature of sales and progression. This can easily be set up!
