I have been working at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as an intern (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, convenient location, dynamic research community, nice office spaces, volunteer opportunities, free webinars, diverse set of organizations and clubs to join

    Cons

An environment with potential that suffers from lack of official processes. It can take longer than usual for a new employee to receive a proper account for accessing campus resources. Outside of the research community there isn't a clear path trajectory employees and there exists no standard policy for raises and career trajectory.

    Advice to Management

Implement more official policies to drive standardization throughout the institution. Clear standards will encourage potential employees to join and retain current employees for longer periods of time. For non research staff layout clear, detailed plans and options for career trajectory.
