I worked at Albert Einstein College of Medicine full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of very accomplished scientists. Intellectually stimulating environment.

    Cons

Some of the admin people and support staff seem to be bothered when asked for help. Many are slow, incompetent and don't care about anything. I tried to get a lab coat for 2 years!! Never succeeded. I ended up buying my own.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Albert Einstein College of Medicine full-time for less than a year

    Pros

given my terrible experience as a phd student i was really looking for a pleasant change most of the pros and cons below almost perfectly coincide with covid pre-covid treated like an expert in the field, contributions appreciated felt like progress was being made towards a singular project professional development and career building resources are great

    Cons

covid expected to work at all time of the day, including weekends on non-covid related projects given multiple un-related side projects by pi pi refused to read emails thoroughly or update themselves on progress except thru lab meeting (which included 10 other people, 2 of which are also postdocs) all papers brought to a halt terrible response to covid given they never actually closed awful plans for reopening i'm honestly still trying to work out the drastic difference before and during covid. note my pi is in their 60s, no kids, appears to be in good health, and also works from home.
