I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Plenty of overtime
    Decent benefits
    Free parking
    Good teamwork on our unit

    Cons

Constantly getting pulled, the hospital as a whole is so understaffed
Orientation compared to other hospitals is so disorganized
    Equipment shortages

    Advice to Management

Your staff is getting burnt out. Turnover shouldn't be this great.

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Highly committed managers and directors- education department is finally somewhat organized. Offered classes at least every other month, but managers don't seem to communicate that well due to multiple responsibilities.

    Cons

I've never worked at a hospital that has such a poor nurse patient ratio. 6:1 is ridiculous on a tele floor, 3:1 in ICU. Cut your budget issues, hire more nurses, and the patients Venus will increase if you support your nurses. We are SO TIRED.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately, many nurses are finally cutting the cord and looking elsewhere. Fix it. Stop limiting your managers and directors and make your educators unit based- how can they know what's going on on the floors if you remove them? What the staff needs?

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The night shift staff are very supportive and easy to work with. Decent benefits. Nurses can speak up without feeling inferior to doctors.

    Cons

No nursing support from administration and management. No opportunities for professional growth and development. All they care about is generating money for the hospital. Lack of communication between doctors and nurses.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff nurses- many are dissatisfied with current workflow and lack of advocacy and support! Address patient safety issues appropriately.

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Close to home no city wage tax, free parking, clean fsci.ity, single rooms

    Cons

Very toxic environment, always short staffed, favortisim is terrible. Lots of management walking around to pick on this gas that are not done but not enough help to fix. Still old Montgomery. Any new ideas are not welcome. The chief nurse is not receptive to ideas and seems to hire her friends. Low pay. Retaliatory enviroment

    Advice to Management

Mentor your own employees, if they were so good why would they leave another organization? Help the staff just not point out what is wrong and send emails to fix. .Realize that it still could be a god idea if it isn't yours, stop blaming the staff for you and other managers bullying

    Pros

None. I can't think of anything positive to say about working at Einstein Montgomery.

    Cons

Management, pay, employees seem miserable, being pulled, floated or canceled.

    Advice to Management

Replace yourselves, or maybe take some classes and get some training.

I have been working at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Everyone knows each other for the most part. parking is free, no city wage taxes and no union dues. the department is very small and extremely short staffed but the team has each other's back by working undesired overtime to cover the shifts.

    Cons

education from the management team is completely absent. pay is very low. pool rates are inproving ++. health insurance is great if you stay withing network and have no children. upper management does not care about the staff and the toxic environment that they have created.

    Advice to Management

if you give a bonus to one team for covering the holes in the schedule do the same for the over teams. fairness in a work place could help lighting things up in the work place. don't take advantage of your staff because they haven't formed a union.

I worked at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (More than a year)

    Pros

New facility, new, working equipment, short commute from suburbs. Blend of nurse skill levels with different backgrounds and experience. All private patient rooms. Intensivist staffed ICU.

    Cons

Lower pay due to not being in city. Frequently short staffed. It is the old Montgomery hospital with a new logo on it, it has lots of change to come

    Advice to Management

appreciate how hard yours nurses need to work when short staffed including a lack of ancillary staff.

    Pros

Fair benefits, if you stay within the Einstein network, great coworkers, who help you get through the day

    Cons

Frequent layoffs, low yearly raises, 2%, no support from supervisors and management, not enough staff for workload, frequently missed lunch breaks, told to look for a job elsewhere, if you complain, would not recommend any one I know to work here

    Advice to Management

Listen to ypur employees, they are intellegant and educated. Their ideas will help you greatly. Provide a safe work environment for them, instead of working short to get your bonus
