I worked at Albertelli Law full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

It is a demanding environment, but the experience gained working with attorneys who are representing the nation's biggest banks and mortgage servicers is tremendous. Our Tampa office location is great and I will genuinely miss many of the people who I have worked with there for over six years. I am not shocked to read some of the bad reviews... if you aren't ready to work hard this isn't the type of place to "fly under...

    Cons

The nature of this industry can be very tough. Their biggest line of work in Tampa was foreclosure, so it obviously fluctuated with the market. Unfortunately that also means jobs sometimes had to be cut with the volume of business... but I found that if you are the best at what you do, a new home or department will be found for you here. As others have mentioned, the Partners are also gone most of the time... but I am...

    Advice to Management

Provide more internal communication, recognition, and a clearer understanding of how to advance from within. I know it is there after all these years... but many of the newer people don't! They did a much better job of this over the last couple years and hope it gets even better. Not everyone really understands the fact that many of this firm's competitors are either shrinking and/or going out of business while ALAW has...

    Pros

Good and friendly environment. It's a good experience if you're looking for a career in the Legal field. Good with holiday activities. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Too many massive layoffs. They do evaluations, but No raises. As they do layoff they overload you with more work. Don't plan for the long term with this company, you'll be wasting your time if that is the plan.

I worked at Albertelli Law full-time

    Pros

At one time there was good money to be made.

    Cons

The worst place I have every worked in my professional career.

    Advice to Management

Do not try to play your employees off one another to slit each other's throats. When you ultimately fire them, and they realize the toxicity of the environment, you will have burned some significant future business connections.

I worked at Albertelli Law full-time

    Pros

There are managers that actually care about their employees but they are few (and getting fewer the more people they lay off) IT department tried their best to fix things but were staffed with people just learning computers and no IT degree which made working under a deadline worse

    Cons

Lackluster benefits and pay Mandated OT and unrealistic/unreasonable expectations of staff (they basically set you up to fail and then yell why is something not finished) Not willing to hire additional needed staff ALL managing partners boast of their own wealth for employees to hear while also telling said employees that they won’t be receiving a raise (One of the managing partners even went as far as ‘accidentally’...

I have been working at Albertelli Law full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people are great. Management can be a hit- and- miss, but overall, not too bad. turn over rate is very high so possibility of being promoted is high. Benefits are pretty decent. May look nice on a resume. Attorney point of view, depending on what side you are on (litigation vs non-litigation) you will have the ability to leave by 1 or 2pm during the week.

    Cons

not a good job if you're looking to apply your legal knowledge and skills. You are paid to "not think" and produce as many documents as possible. The documents are software generated and lack any legal foundation. Do not base working here on how all private firms work. As a Litigation Attorney- you will be a great at filing motion to continue. A hard week is when you finally have to litigate the cases you continued. As...

    Advice to Management

None to management- they have no intentions of changing. ADVICE TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN WORKING HERE: If you don't have high expectations this place is great. Use this firm as a resume booster and leave.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Have been in this industry for a very long time have never had such a bad experience. Started the job and received no attention whatsoever as they are too busy and severely understaffed. The Management is spread too thin and couldn't even show me how to clock in or out or anything about their software. I would find someone to do the training as well as staff your company correctly. All you have to do is look at these...

      Pros

      Comparable health benefits for family.

      Cons

Working with underdeveloped management staff. Their leaders are promoted by default. Basically, if an individual has performed a particular function long enough, outlasts or endures the rest they are promoted to management without any previous experience, qualifications or proper training. Unfortunately, being a subject matter expert in a field does not equate to leadership skills. Their Human Resources department...
