I have been working at Alcimed full-time

    Pros

Empowered staff on their duties, from the begininnig on, and also in the ability to influence the evolution of the company. Very interesting missions for clients focused on innovation and new market development. Ability to evolve fast if performant. They are committed to develop people in the long run as a growing company, so many opportunities to grow.

    Cons

Have to like fast moving structures, "start-up" mode, and be flexible. Have to be service and cleint oriented vs only interested in "willing to solve a problem". And above all important to deliver to evolve fast.

I have been working at Alcimed full-time

    Pros

    Some travel opportunities
    Informal environment
Hard to get fired once you are hired

    Cons

    Extremely low compensation
    Minimum benefits
    Incompetent and inexperienced managers
    Long hours over busy work
Most of time you are making cold calls to doctors and others to interview them for free
Not a single person is happy at Alcimed

    Advice to Management

This much turnover is not normal even in consulting. Try to retain employees and raise the salary.

I have been working at Alcimed full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will like working at Alcimed if:

    - you are a team player: team spirit is very important and the atmosphere among colleagues is simply great.

    - you are curious: each project is new, each project is different and each has been very interesting (even if I didn't expect it at the beginning ;-)

    - you are hard-working: the Job can be challenging, deadlines may be tight and there are clients to keep happy.

-you want to develop: Alcimed is very receptive to new ideas, so it is a great place if you want to contribute to that.

The negative comments here have given me some doubts when I first applied and started my job but I am glad they did not put me off. I enjoy the great team spirit as well as the interesting and challenging projects.

    Cons

You may not enjoy working at Alcimed so much if:
    - you want routine: a high degree of flexibility is required to handle the different projects.

    - you want training: you will be given a high degree of responsibility right from the beginning and Alcimed is very much a "learning by doing" company. This can be difficult at the start, but also means you can learn a lot in a very short time.

I have been working at Alcimed full-time

    Pros

The only positive point point about Alcimed are the fellow consultants. But the turnover is super high in this company, people don't stay long-time here.

    Cons

    - Low salary with long working hours. Most of the times consultants work till 8, sometimes all the way till late night, yet being paid barely more than 30k a year.
    - Foreigner consultants are paid less than French consultants. Alcimed takes advantage of the weak position of consultants that need a visa and offers ridiculously low salaries to them.
    - Bad project management! Managers have no experience as such. There is not proper training for young managers, they struggle to deal with the work load and cope with the stress. As a results, consultants pay the price.
    - The projects and recommendations are only based on interviews with people who are supposed to be experts in the field. Consultants are encouraged to get the information fast rather than to get good and reliable information. Thus, the final results of the projects are based on badly conducted interviews, with figures and conclusion written to make the clients happy.
    - The business developers are under a lot of pressure to sell more and more projects. In order to sign out more contracts, they will lower the cost to minimum, meaning that consultants have to make a 6-month project in half of time because the business developer sold fewer days.

    Advice to Management

Stop posting fake reviews on Glassdoor, it is too obvious! people are not stupid!
All the positive comments about Alcimed appeared at the same time (October 11, 17 & 19), have the same exact number of "likes" (8 likes), the "key words" of the company are used all over (fun, innovation, challenge, explorers, ...).
    You are pathetic!

I worked at Alcimed full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only thing that I could think of as a positive aspect of working at Alcimed was the types of projects, which were varied and quite interesting in the majority of the cases.

    Cons

The list of things that are wrong at Alcimed is quite long. My advice to any future applicants is to run in the opposite direction. Alcimed is not worth your sanity or health, because the management and the people around you will push you beyond your limits. The culture in the offices is very French and not meritocratic. Management is extremely bad to the extent that some months, your salary will be paid in late. Like I said earlier, the list is really very long and so please seriously consider all your options before signing up for this nightmare called Alcimed. Extremely high turnaround of people, even when compared to industry wide rate. Something to consider - for a company that started in 1993, it has only expanded into a ~200 people company in over 23 years. This goes to show a lot...a lot is wrong with this company.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect. If you want long term commitment from your employees then look after them, increase pay and get rid of some the senior management staff who are doing everything in their power to run this company into grounds. And stop being so FRENCH, if you want to claim be a MULTINATIONAL firm.

I have been working at Alcimed full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Clear and informative with the recruiting process, open for questions, supportive and friendly colleagues. Nice office, central located, great view from the office.
    Satisfying.

    Cons

I think the negative post about alcimed is exaggerating. It is not as bad as it sound, and as a relatively new player in this industry i think they are doing good.

    Advice to Management

Keep exploring the new uncharted territories, go all out to reach 1000 employee. Go beyond your comfort zone and open for new inputs and changes.
