unorganized young management
Feb 16, 2017 - Account Management in Orem, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flexible Schedule and that's it.
Cons
Management is young and come up with their own way of doing things that are contrary to the way they train. Keep in mind there is no real training program. Due to the management being young and inexperienced you have immature people who don't know how to manage and have attitudes and don't help or try to make things better. Having worked in the alarm industry for many years this is by far the worst office I have seen. The interview process was a joke but hey I got a job. I am just disappointed in the way they do business. They do not hold people to their contracts the way they say they will. I am just annoyed with companies who hire bros and "pretty" girls to do things when they need older competent people in charge who get life, business, and how to treat workers. Then those people can teach the young guns how to do things professionally and correctly.
Continue readingThank you so much for your feedback! At Alder, one of our company attributes is being "Real" or simply authentic, and as such, we welcome all feedback good or bad. It sounds like we have a lot of work to do. We admit that we're young, we're ambitious and we're innovative. Alder is also growing rather rapidly, (in fact we're one of the 10 fastest growing companies in UT according to the MWC). As a result, we tend to promote from within quite extensively and part of the beauty of being a 5+ year old startup is that we're a company that gives extraordinary leadership opportunities to young talent. Some approaches may be unconventional and we acknowledge it can be a tough adjustment, especially if you're coming from other companies that have done business differently. While Alder is still putting ourselves on the map, we find ourselves reliant on finding the best available talent in the market through employee referrals. We are addressing the training gaps. We've recently just rolled out an onboarding / training program which is a start and an indicator of other improvements yet to come. The company leadership team and People department representative welcome all feedback, suggestions for improvement, etc. We promise not to judge too harshly. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we're doing.
