    Pros

Fun environment, discount on shoes, easy to move up quickly in company, different locations, learn about different types of shoes

    Cons

Pay is not comparable to work done, work by yourself for 8 hours which I'm pretty sure is illegal, never rewarded for good work, always says that's good but you can do better

    Advice to Management

If you are just starting out, maybe this is a job for you, but if you have experience I would not recommend this place. Work somewhere where they treat you with respect and pay you what you derserve. Even getting a .75 raise is difficult

    Pros

Great Company to work for. Managers were very helpful and respectful. Allows you to have a flexible schedule and gives you more hours whenever needed.

    Cons

I only worked there for a semester while being a full time college student, so I did not really notice any major disadvantages.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work Nigel. He is the Director Manager of the Aldo Shoe Store in Albany and around the Boston area as well.

I worked at Aldo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fashion forward company. Love the shoes and accessories. 50% discount. HIGH turnover rate for employees

    Cons

No work/life balance. There is so much pressure on the manager. Salary could've been wayyy better for the amount of time and sacrifice.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to find a way to take your vacation time or it will be lost at the end of the year.

I worked at Aldo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun atmosphere. If you're into fashion, you'll enjoy talking to customers about the latest shoe trends and how to style them up. Management was stern, but generally nice.

    Cons

Depending on the traffic of the store, sales goals can be very unrealistic - yet the pressure is on to meet them, and if you don't meet said goals you must make up for it on your next shift. This can be very stressful and management won't make it any easier.

    Advice to Management

Obviously your bottom line is the main concern, but consider not throwing new hires into the deep end straight from the get-go. I would've appreciated a little more training.

I worked at Aldo part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff is very friendly, training is really easy they give you opportunities to move up.

    Cons

BAD as scheduling. You will be scheduled for a shift and then they will cancel on you because it's "slow" or something. I went in once when they said it was slow just to say hi... it wasn't slow. They will call you for shifts which is nice... but you can only reject three shifts in a month or something like that.

    Advice to Management

    Have consistent shifts

    Pros

You have a great innovative brand you work for and the structure of the company and where it is going inspires you. Great healthcare benefits
    Very fashion forward brand

    Cons

    Lack of Training
    Absolutely no room for growth
Horrible pay for the amount of work you put in
Too much paperwork to follow up on with LP
    Very repetitive

    Advice to Management

Be more open to your management team and also give the associates a better incentive than just a hourly wage.
Set up a better Training program
