I have been working at Alere full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

pays well, work load is fine

    Cons

I have 30 years of experience in the field; this place by far has the most incompetent pack of people almost in every part of the organization. The management team is undoubtedly lame.

    Advice to Management

Quit before Abbott or Quidel dismiss you.

Good products that can help a lot of people.

    Cons

Poorly structured. For a corporate headquarters there is only a part time HR person, who does the bare minimum and ignores the needs of the staff. Don't work there.

    I worked at Alere full-time

    Pros

    Free to work from home

    Cons

Your every word will be recorded and your every minute will be watched and counted. You'll feel like you're being spied on in your own home. You will be required to speak to a minimum number of people each day, regardless of how much close impact you feel you're having on the clients - you're not really a counselor, you're a nicotine replacement therapy drug pusher. You'll be asked to never say anything negative or derogatory about tobacco companies. Believe it or not.

    Advice to Management

    Stop calling yourselves counselors.
