payment is always late, no payment during official breaks.

I have been working at Alfaisal University full-time

    Pros

The only reason to keep working here is basically the salary. But that is not applicable to new hires as they are getting salaries just slightly above locals, and one year contracts. Currently ,only desperate westerners end up here.

    Cons

Of the few existing colleges, only a couple are still worthwhile working at. The remaining are slowly decaying, being overtaken middle easterners and riddled with internal corruption. Just browse around and you will see very few white faces...
Unlike other private universities tagged as American or British, the administrators are all locals with all that it entails. The university does not live up to its proclaimed high standards...that is just PR work ...Since 2015 the uni has been on a steep decline... something commonly seen is professors handing out exams to its favourite students...the cranking up of grades is also something commonly seen

    Advice to Management

Some colleges are riddled with corruption but it is all being covered up, even by some top administrators. A deep cleaning operation is required...very deep!

    Pros

Good pay but lots of hidden costs uncompensated. This is the only reason for you to work here.

    Cons

Tight budget since 2015. It is expected to be tighter in the coming years because the support from government is greatly slashed.
The students are spoiled and hardly motivated to learn. Yet, they are demanding as the lord to the servants.

    Advice to Management

Try something more concrete to revert to the University's initial ambition to make it research-oriented. This is now a student-focused teaching-intensive school now.

I have been working at Alfaisal University full-time

    Pros

Good salary and university system, potential for good success as an institution. Honest senior management.
Good students for the most part.

    Cons

Some unqualified and offensive faculty about.
    Buildings not all completed yet.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful with hiriing, especially when current faculty try to bring friends of same nationality.
