I worked at Alison Brod Public Relations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

free stuff relaxed dress code opportunity to meet influencers

    Cons

    - zero guidance, no on boarding process - no sense of teamwork or community, everyone is throwing everyone under the bus for their own gain - constantly moved on and off accounts, no sense of stability - junior staff does 90% of the work while the senior staff paint their nails at their desk - culture is like a catty sorority where everyone is judged based on looks and money - career advancement is not based on skill/ability but good looks and how rich you are - CEO is image-obsessed and rude - rules like: you have to wear lip gloss in meetings

I worked at Alison Brod Public Relations full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free products, cool clients. Some people are super friendly.

    Cons

It seemed fun at first. Ended up working well into the night and on weekends because my daddy wasn’t someone important. You’re basically forced to remind management that you think they are cool and pretty. They play favorites unlike anything I have ever seen... basically you need to play a part. Be a show pony. Drink the kool-aid and forget who you were before you arrived which was someone with a soul. You’ll constantly be moved around to different teams and management has no clue what kind of workload you’re dealing with. They make rash decisions about employees and will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat regardless of whether you think you’re “in” or not.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Alison Brod Public Relations full-time

    Pros

    - Client list and access to products - Exposure to the public relations, marketing and influencer industries - Open work environment

    Cons

    - Little to no support from upper management - you basically get thrown in without any guidance. - Office atmosphere is a bit intimidating and not very approachable when you have questions/need help. - The company culture is very focused on appearance rather than the hard work you put in. - Success and promotions seemed like it was based on how many hours you put in at the office rather the quality of your work. - There was no formal review process, even after 6 months.
