I worked at AllOver Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Local Account Executives work from home

    Cons

Spend 4 hrs day driving/walking around assigned territory in suburbs passing out media kits, collecting business cards and on spot selling of downtown/uptown restaurant/bar bathroom advertising to local SMB owners.

Other 4 hrs inputting business card information in sales force and calling/emailing business owners trying to set up appointments.

Management doesn't know how to go about selling this type of advertising and management has changed 2 times already in just a 6 month period.

Local advertising was good before the internet, so now there is no use for it and business owners know it.

The company sells many other media types, but the main focus of local AE's is to sell the bathroom advertising, since that is what SMB owners can afford. All other media is sold to national accounts and advertsing agencies that are handled by national AE's at corporate office.

    Advice to Management

Don't listen to people that are clueless about selling your products, get competent people to set a plan/timeline and let the sales people do their job .

I have been working at AllOver Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice people and a paycheck. The pros are very very minimal because it is a badly run company that talks to the severs instead of the media community.

    Cons

So many - bad management, disorganization, poor leadership, lacks direction, poorly run media products, hiring and firing people, just does not know what they are doing as a media company

    Advice to Management

You need to stop hiring and firing people, you need to support all your employees not a chosen few.

I have been working at AllOver Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a great place to work for someone who is younger, self motivated, not a whole lot of experience. The company is ever changing, and trying to improve.

    Cons

Lack of communication internally with sales and operations. Pay isn't that great for as hard as you work, and the stress. Promotions are hard to come by.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, and listen to what your employees have to say. They know the industry pretty well, and have great suggestions to have things run a little smoother.

I have been working at AllOver Media full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Great CEO and CFO!
    - Good culture and work environment
    - Growing company with lots of opportunity!
    - Huge income potential for sales reps and growth opportunity within operations.

    Cons

Challenging for employees to identify a clear path for career growth within the organization.

There needs to be more effort to promote from within as the company continues to grow, this is especially needed within sales.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and set up processes that allow for continued career advancement.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Some fun people to work with and joke around with. A few fun outings with particular teams and the entire staff.

    Cons

The overall pay/compensation doesn't really match the workload. Management doesn't know how to let the job get done without getting in the way - aka reading emails that aren't even sent to them somehow and responding. The location is all the way out in Plymouth.

I worked at AllOver Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers. Work functions outside of office. Flexibility is nice! There are decent benefits. Growth of the company shows optimism.

    Cons

Pay isn't the greatest. Managers are micro-managing. No one to go to cuz HR is not approachable so you are stuck being unhappy.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to your employees. Managers don't realize what their reports do for them. Start from the top and see where the issues are. Improve HR... It seems like they're trying but one nice girl is not enough.
