    I have been working at Allegheny Health Network full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    Helping local healthcare company provide better care to the people of Pittsburgh. Interesting projects. A good place to work if you find the right manager. Some teams good but many others not so much

    Cons

    Lower pay for corporate employment. Team success and happiness based on team leader. Turnover seems to be below leader rather than replacing the leader who is causing the issue

    Pros

    Great area to apply and learn additional skills pertaining to different levels of the revenue cycle on the professional and facility side- not micro managed at least in my area and you are able to think outside the box to achieve a more efficient process. Exposure to many different delivery systems - place has potential to be a very good place to a part of

    Cons

    Communication is lacking from upper management as well as opportunities. There appear to be many posted job opportunities however you find out that many of these are posted the required days, because the job has been filled prior to the posting. Several good employees are passed over for jobs in favor of the direction of senior management that really don't know the quality of people they have or keep folks in their niche...

    Communicate better to your employees and better identify the people that are excellent employees and assist them in moving into a career path - sad!
