    Pros

I love working at Allegiant in the FP&A department because of the variety in the day to day work I do. There are plenty of advancement opportunities as well as chances to learn new skills, new departments, etc.

    Cons

There are some long hours required, but it is seasonal and depends on how productive you can be during the day.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Travel benefits kick in earlier than most other airlines, uniforms are provided, Discounts on other airlines

    Cons

Completely unorganized, nobody knows what is going on half the time, Leads are hit and miss, Everything is cheap and falling apart, lots of workplace drama especially in the evening shifts, RON shifts are overall awful, Leads and managers fall short and take it out on everybody else, very low pay for working near aircraft, training is sporadic, high turnover, shuttle in from parking lot to airport which can make you late without it being your fault, strict attendance/tardy policy but it's ok for the company to force you to stay hours past your shift.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your employees and stop treating them like they're expendable. Treat them like they are the backbone of your company because those planes are not going anywhere without your employees! Work on communication and promote people that will actually lead well. Start focusing on organization and increase pay! Travel benefits do no good if one cannot afford everyday bills. Stop pretending to care and actually do it!

I have been working at Allegiant Travel full-time

    Pros

Unionized by TWU, pay is amazing after the 1st year (over $7 increase), there is profit sharing payouts 2 times a year, you work independently with a crew and little to no management everyday, and there are so many opportunities to move up in the company, even as a flight attendant. They love hiring those at their HQ from within. One last thing, as a flight attendant at Allegiant, you get to come home every night as there are no layovers, unless there is a mechanical, weather issue, etc that causes your flight to be cancelled.

    Cons

Training doesn't really prepare you well enough on the phases of flight (I.e., the day to day work you do everyday), so most of us, including those who have graduated after me, had a really tough time on the IOE; so just be mindful of that. Also, Allegiant isn't doing much about the toxic cabin air issue (research dirty sock smell in aircraft.) It has sent a lot of us to the hospital where we needed to be detoxified of the fumes in our bodies.
