    Pros

It's a job and they offer time off.

    Cons

    No contract
Crew services doesn't follow the work rules.
Always have to correct your pay reports because they don't give you the right hours.
Trips are canceled every day due to no pilots or flight attendants.
The company is always trying to bribe people to work canceled trips on their days off. But no one wants to.
The people they hire are unsophisticated.
The work environment on the plane is like being in high school. It's non stop gossip about everyone at the base. You know who's sleeping with who and who's been written up...
Most of the flight attendants are lazy. The hide in the back or up front so they are not see by the passengers . Literally on FA is doing all the work.
Pilots call the the airline "the Walmart airline".
Pilots say they need to stop putting bandaids on the maintence problems and just fix the planes!
The managers never respond to your emails or phone calls when you have a issue.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to the passengers and tell them you don't have a crew to do the flights!
Get some people with educations and morals to do the interview sessions!
Get a real training program for the flight attendants. You teach the bare minimums compared to the other airlines.

    Pros

Small company, you can build relationships faster.

    Cons

The idea of the company having values and the originators not following them is ironic. No career advancement. Promotes the people that do not work hard or are honest. Constantly trying to cut corners for budgeting purposes. Let people go for no reason.

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing and not what is best for yourself.

    Pros

Free flight benefits - if you are willing to fly standby and always get bumped on an airline not known for being on-time.

    Cons

No raises given... EVER! Unless you manage to be a "special" person you'll also never see a bonus.

    Advice to Management

Be more up front with employees about status and performance and not make the annual reviews seem like they are the true feelings about you.

    Pros

    Nothing. Maybe the location.

    Cons

absolutely the worst culture a company can have. No mentoring, no recognition of experience and talent. Utter chaos as the pay is so poor, they can only attract people with no experience who are looking for a title and don't mind micro managment.

    Pros

    Flight benefits on other airlines.

    Cons

Poor aircraft maintenance. Same President (Maurice Gallagher) from ValueJet and running it exactly the same way.

    Advice to Management

Step down and let someone else run the airline.

I worked at Allegiant Travel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Travel benefits, IF you can get days off in a row but that's not possible.

    Cons

Management treats flight attendants and pilots like DIRT. I have worked for other main line carriers and they DO CARE about you. It's like day and night. And, they could care less! They want you to know they don't care. The upper-level mgmt people they hire are mean and nasty people. They don't want to hire any other type, because that's exactly what they want. Very GREEDY! It's a shame but it's the way it is.

    Advice to Management

The workers are the ones that made this company profit. They all work hard. You better realize it and start respecting them or you are going to lose and it will be nobody's fault but your own.
Another thing, WHY are you so afraid of them having a union? I rest my case.

I worked at Allegiant Travel (Less than a year)

    Pros

Its a nice growing company with a lot of potential for the future.

    Cons

If you work in PIE, you sign up for a part time and you work just enough under full time hours not collect full time benefits. The salary is not worth discussing. And you cant get a second job b/c you never get your schedule on time (not to mention its done on a monthly bases) In the 7 months i was there, they said we were to get it on the 15th o each month, this only happened once. We usually get it 1-2 days before the new bid starts. while the trading policies are nice b/c you can work out your schedule kinks and/or take advantage of the ONLY benefit we have which is travel, it doesn't work b/c they schedule in a manner in which everyone is either working at the same times or are overworked. When you are short staff NO SUPERVISOR STAY OR COME IN ON THEIR TIME OFF TO HELP! THERE ARE FEW IF ANY WORKING MANAGEMENT! THEY JUST LOOK BUSY The leadership is the worse leadership I've ever worked with in my life. They have no respect and are condescending and are on power trips.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your leadership house! Find leaders who lead by example and give their employees a sense of ownership and pride. Work on better schedules. The employees who are there have to pay the price for the mast exodus of exiting employees because you cannot give schedules on time or give hours so we can hold our full time jobs. Get some leaders not bosses!

    Pros

There's plenty of money in the bank. You'll be bombarded by how profitable the company is, how successful a particular market is, or how a market is being outright abandoned wholesale.

    Cons

The reason the company is profitable is you.

It's actually a miracle that the company is profitable at all, given the critical dysfunction of the IT/development process. But the company only answers to shareholders, not internal employees, and somehow the value of the stock went up throughout the course of a 4 hour+ website outage that also disabled internal booking tools. An issue which is a fantastic example of the issues with the deployment process. Test *all* deployments before releasing to production!

I have been working at Allegiant Travel part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fly free, if the 30 year old planes are not broke or delayed by 12 hours, but they fly to holes in the earth.

    Cons

Minimum wage, mismanagement, REMEMBER “Value Jet” same company. He just moved it to NV and changed the name.

    Advice to Management

For God’s sack, stop and think about people’s lives and not the shareholders for once
