    Pros

Co-workers are a really good people.

    Cons

A small company whose growth is stunted by a continuous poor management and broken code. The company is run by a dictator and the CEO is his head puppeteer and the rest of the dysfunctional executives are his marionettes puppets! Employees are often subjected to vulgar language, sexual comments and unprofessional work environment. This company discriminates against women and minorities. No career path or growth opportunities. Raises have been cut and no bonus payouts for the general population…all investors and executives care about is their BIG payout!

    Advice to Management

Need to replace majority of the executives including the dictator - which will happen when the investors sell.

I worked at Allegro Development full-time

    Pros

Free parking, soda/tea/coffee, lunch on Wednesdays, gym membership to the YMCA, company-provided laptop and backpack. Nice location with an attached Starbucks downstairs and decent lunch options around. Casual dress and slightly flexible hours.

    Cons

Extremely crowded office without cubicles (the desks are in kind of half-wall cubicles so everyone can see everyone), making it hard to concentrate or focus. It's a struggling company with high turnover in higher-level positions, which in turn causes issues for lower-level employees. Working there is just a bit negative and dreary. The work you produce is mediocre and done on extreme timelines, no matter the department you're in. It's very corporate.

    Advice to Management

The Dallas office clearly hasn't been updated since you moved in in 1998 and it shows. New carpets (hardwoods...) and a fresh coat of paint would do the place a world of good.

    Pros

Nice downtown office spaces in major cities throughout the world at a significant premium price, plus a 40 hour work week......

    Cons

The founder is a complete crook. Would lie, cheat and steal to keep anyone in sharing any success of the company which he still considers to be his. He has done this twice so far now to his key employees who typically don't understand anything about their stock or options. The founder spent millions suing his own company (court opinion given 10-11-2013 in the Delaware Court of Chancery online) to get his job back as he has nothing else to do. He was fired for incompetence and producing terrible financial results. These guys gened up documents to avoid the application of US Securities laws in their last deal knowing that to get called out for it would take someone six figures of legal expenses......bottom line, they do what they want for themselves to whomever they want.

    Advice to Management

Get some ethics man, life is too short to cheat people.

    Pros

Fantastic new executive team, lots of investment in the right areas (sales, engineering, product management and marketing, great view and strategy -- first every go-to-market strategy and 5 year product roadmap published. New brand and product strategy. This new executive team has accomplished more in the last year then the prior management did in 2-3 years.

    Cons

All the old drama from the previous management team. Most of the "drama people" have been replaced - thank goodness.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing great things at Allegro. The company is on the right track and has a great future. I'm super glad to be part of the team.

    Pros

    Smart, genuine people. Interesting industry.

    Cons

The Founder and Chairman of the BOD runs the company and daily operations from the Dallas headquarters. The CEO is his messenger. The leadersihp team (those who fall in line) are his puppets. If your leader isn't aligned with the Chairman, your whole team suffers.

The smart, geniune people mentioned above are leaving in droves due to continious leadership changes, process rip and replace and negative enironment.

It's volatile, not a fun place to work.

    Pros

Management is never in your business - not a bad thing.

    Cons

Who runs this place? Over half the projects, per the interim CEO, are code red! Not sure if original owner or new investors run this company? Based on politics, it is the original owner. Based on a growth concept, the new majority owners. Quoting another very experienced employee, "this place may implode" due to leadership issues. Don't expect coaching, leadership and personal growth - it is purely a role of survival and longggggg hours if you are on the road. If the employees knew what the middle management is paid, they would be in shock and then would quit. It is unacceptable to pay the complainers, the finger pointers, the mega six figure salaries they get for doing nothing - really.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves, and find some humility that you are risking everyone's career, livelihood and future......
