    Pros

A supportive working environment with managers that actually care about associates. I've been with the company four years and have several co-workers that have been here 10+ years. The company has a strong culture that is both resident and associate focused. I'm hoping to be here many years to come.

    Cons

Right now there are no cons I can think of.

I worked at Allegro Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The residents were amazing people

    Cons

Management would spread gossip about all staff members to other staff members making it impossible to overcome the lies. The Executive Director of Renaissance was a liar and didn't care about the staff or residents. Always gossiping instead of working. Would cover up things so they could pass state requirements. Would not investigate claims of abuse or racist comments made by employees or residents. Only cared about her salary and her reputation. Do not work here!!!

    Advice to Management

Quit kidding yourself that you are a good person, the lies will catch up to you one day.

    Pros

Beautiful facility, professional atmosphere, nice residents

    Cons

Difficult staff environment, lazy, complaining workers.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from unhappy workers, raise salaries to attract better people, find out why so many people quit or are not happy.

    Pros

Resident's are incredible and help create some positivity.

    Cons

    Incredible amounts of turn over.

    Advice to Management

The leadership team of this community needs to be reconstructed - starting with the executive director. The amount of gossip and deceit that goes on here is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. ED has been recorded lying to several different leadership and front line staff members on several different occasions. Many staff fear to come forward out of fear of losing their job or being gossiped about. This community is an enormous cause of anxiety and the job is not worth it.

    Pros

Pay is somewhat above normal for management positions and the community itself is absolutely beautiful.

    Cons

Corporate does not seem to step in when needed. Executive director gossips about the entire staff and is vindictive and conniving

    Advice to Management

Corporate really needs to take a good look at the leader of this community. The executive director is the main source of all of the issues with staff. She continuously gossips and pits employees against one another. She records conversations on her cell phone and plays them back for other employees to hear. Nothing is confidential when it comes to this executive director. It's almost like she creates dramatic situations so that she can keep people in fear of losing their jobs. When I was there I caught her listening at the door outside of managers offices. She was caught in multiple lies and then in turn created more lies to cover-up the original ones. She seems to enjoy creating chaos. This community is absolutely beautiful esthetically but she will be what drives it into the ground.

    Pros

The Executive Director believes she is a Servant Leader, and I couldn't agree more. She is all about the residents. Whether to lend an ear, help with a family situation or put on an apron and cook something special for the residents, she will do what it takes to make Boynton Beach special. As a boss, she is fair, kind and all about the team having a wonderful work environment.

    Cons

Do not always understand why the Home Office/St. Louis makes decisions it does for the local community. Do not always see Allegro's wonderful values being acted upon by the home office people.

    Pros

The benefits are awesome and the discounts on everything are a plus. And it's a very clean environment to live in

    Cons

The residents are very picky and opinionated the management doesn't care about your opinion or your feelings their always talking about money

    Advice to Management

    Stop treating housekeepers like slaves
