I worked at Alliance Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros to working there because amateurs are running the show.

    Cons

Good old "girls" network. Terrible management. TS is the biggest joke. She couldn't manage a little league team

    Advice to Management

Whenever you have a "good idea," do the opposite. As long as TS is climbing the corporate ladder, the company will go nowhere. Complete joke. Unorganized, clicky, and reactive. Start over.

I worked at Alliance Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The only reason for working at alliance healthcare would be to pay your bill's until you can get a real job.

    Cons

You are treated like a dumb slave ,your idea's are not important to management ,they only care about the bottom line, not patient healthcare.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employes with respect, stop showing favoritism to certain employe's ,treat everyone equal, give credit when credit is due, not because of who you are.

I worked at Alliance Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - SOME fellow employees are awesome people.
    - Decent pay
    - HR assists with FMLA paperwork and disability paperwork

    Cons

    - Other employees are clique-y and judgmental
    - While HR will assist with disability paperwork other employees and supervisors are not understanding and do not accept people who are open about their mental disabilities such as anxiety and depression.
    - The have unattainable expectations. Multiple people who were on my project were let go because they made 3 mistakes. THREE in the whole time they worked for the company/project. (A YEAR) They offered three mistakes a lifetime on the project I was part of. That was all you got from the first day you pick up the phone. If you worked on the project for 6 years and got your third mistake in those 6 years then sorry, you have been almost perfect for 6 years but we have to let you go.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge the hard work your employees do. Stop penalizing the employees who are honest with you and tell you they have anxiety. Cut them a bit of slack and stop being so neurotic.

I worked at Alliance Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Related to Brigham and Women's/Dana Farber

    Cons

The manager of the department is terrible. The chief radiation therapist is miserable. I was told that she was a miserable person by colleagues and it was true. The Mgt works for BWH and they treat the Alliance work like cattle. They have no trust in you even if you worked in the field for 25 years. Don't hit a button or start a setup until you check with a regular, and then they tell you that it is all wrong and you are an idiot.

    Advice to Management

TO MANAGEMENT: Go back to being a regular radiation therapist and leave the management to someone with people skills. Go on a retreat and see if you have a heart or you just hate everyone. I have worked everywhere in the US and I have loved many jobs and this was the worst!

    Pros

Working in a team, training in different areas of the floor, very welcoming

    Cons

Break lengths and some very long Sunday shifts

    Advice to Management

More radios around the factory; this may aid productivity
