I have been working at Alliance Resource full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits! Very generous with paid time off.

    Cons

Coal market is a bit shaky. Long term employment for young employees is questionable.

I worked at Alliance Resource full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Good pay and great benefits.

    Cons

Dying industry. Senior management is pouring money into oil/gas. Lower coal demand will undoubtedly claim more casualties.

I worked at Alliance Resource full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Good benefits, good starting pay, good job security as they are a conservative company. Great comatose to work for if you are satisfied with doing the same job for 30 years.

    Cons

Little room for advancement and not much chance for a pay raise. Management has little knowledge of what goes on in operations.

    Advice to Management

Look at rewarding long term employees better and try to get more in tune with the operations as there seems to be a disconnect between management and operations.

I worked at Alliance Resource full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Great Company Size - Great Team interaction / voice to be heard, likes to stay up on technology.

    Cons

It has two main office locations Tulsa, Lexington and all IT work is there for the most part. Some travel probably required in most IT roles to mine sites.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing - great leadership. Has become a staple in the Tulsa community.

I worked at Alliance Resource full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Pay, benefits WERE a definite plus...however, I have heard from current employees that this has drastically changed.

    Cons

Poor relations with employees and their needs (to do their job.) Fear used to motivate, bully tactics.

    Advice to Management

Employees are your greatest asset, not how many tons of coal you have mined this quarter.

    Pros

Good money and insurance when I was there

    Cons

the management, the good ole boys program there.

    Advice to Management

Promote the people deserving instead of your hunting or boating buddy.

I worked at Alliance Resource full-time

    Pros

Use to be a family atmosphere!!! One of the best places I ever worked. But that changed with new management at mine level. They ran off the good workers, left only there yes men.

    Cons

Bad Management at Mine Level Looks to pass blame to employees instead of management

    Advice to Management

Take care of our miners. Get rid of the yes men
