    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Alliance Resource as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

First hand experience of tasks in the mine.

    Cons

Improper supervision of new employees. Not following MSHA guidelines at all times. Poor housing conditions. Repetitive remedial tasks given to interns that do not increase desired experience quality.

    Advice to Management

They should follow suggestions on what the interns would like to learn about rather than stick to a solid structure that is not favorable.

    Pros

Highly profitable business operation. Field operations very competent.

    Cons

Corporate management - especially CFO - have no management skills. IT is placed under the CFO's charge and he should be let go for "dereliction of duty"

    Advice to Management

Take IT away form the CFO and it will be able to become a viable area to work in at Alliance. The CFO is a figurehead for the investment community and has no business managing people.
