      April 1, 2019Director, Talent Acquisition

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We take the growth of our employees very seriously and realize that our people are our most valuable asset. We certainly to not have scheduled layoffs every month. Our headquarters is moving to Nashville and with that, many jobs are moving as ...

I worked at AllianceBernstein full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Fair pay and great people who have the same laid-back culture you'd expect in PWM, just not the right fit for what I was looking for long term. The role is similar to a back office administration role in terms of operational duties, good opportunities to move up within the company and expand your role, however, there seems to be a lot of nepotism involved in who gets those opportunities.

      Cons

The office I worked in seemed to have high turnover. Back office operational role disguised as a client-facing, front-office role. You definitely get client contact, just only when the clients need some basic operational task accomplished.

      I worked at AllianceBernstein full-time

      Pros

The individuals you sit next to each day are fantastic, intelligent, hardworking and motivated. The ability to take on a lot of responsibility in a short amount of time. For someone who likes a fast paced environment with a large amount of transnational work, this is a great place to learn. Good benefits from a cost perspective to the employee.

      Cons

Private Client is a boy's club and Senior Management has created an environment that is mico-managed and impossible to have a voice or opinion. Unless you are Sales or in Senior Management, there is no track for career progression. They do not value long term employees and the lower levels turn over about every two years. Its a shame that a Firm filled with wonderful people can have a dismal because of the way the company...

I have been working at AllianceBernstein full-time for less than a year

      Pros

I have worked with and partnered with many companies in and around Nashville but none have compared to AllianceBernstein. Ultimately my decision to join AllianceBernstein was because of the people I met. I have never met a group of people that are as genuine as those I now get to work with day in day out. Beyond the genuine care of others the level of talent that is here is remarkable. I have never met in one place the...

Great management, good culture, lots of in person exposure to upper management, feel like you're doing valuable work

      Cons

      Pay is below industry average.

      Advice to Management

You have done a great job with the HQ transition. If you want to keep all of the great new talent, they will want a raise come comp time next year.
