Cons
Management in my department are horrible. From what I’ve heard many years ago the collections department was a great department to be in. The last few years with new management hasn’t been the greatest. There is no room for growth as they are bringing in the old HSBC clan. They promote each other. So no room for representatives that have been here longer to grow within department. Working in the department is like walking on egg shells. We can’t voice our opinions as they will start picking on you to the point that you want to quit. They got rid of a representative that was here many years with no warnings for something we all do. They are micromanaging our every move. We feel harassed. One of the supervisors invades personal space at all times. He watches every move. Always breathing down every female In department neck. What happened to the Alliant Culture??? The happy place where managers and supervisors were approachable. Bonus also sucks. You collect all year for the department then all you get are peanuts while management makes the big bucks. Get rid of the managers and supervisors that are in charge now for the department. They are going to bring Alliant to the ground like HSBC. They need to stop implementing what didn’t work at HSBC at Alliant. They need to go away.

NONE. Average page and average everything.
Cons
They hired managers who is very much into micromanagement. When you decided to speak up, they made sure to kick you in the curb and get you to 'know your place'. I don't understand their leadership style, truly. You hire good people because as a leader it is impossible to do everything and be at every meeting. Feedback is given to upper level leadership, not as an attack but as a way to nudge you that something isn't working that require fixing. Try practicing what you preach. Last note: This is not a supporting place to work for working mothers.

Thank you for your feedback. The examples of leadership behavior you shared in your review do not align with our values and competencies model, and we’ll work on addressing them. We want our employees to “Be Bold,” “Build Together” and “Communicate to Inspire and Motivate,” and to be able to bring these to life, employees need to feel safe to speak up and share their perspectives. Our executive leadership and the talent strategy team pay close attention to developing our people leaders, and Alliant leaders participate in professional development programs to enhance their leadership skills. By investing in advancing leadership capabilities, our goal is to provide an employee experience that is challenging, rewarding and engaging, which leads to attracting, developing and retaining great talent. We also hope our hybrid and flexible schedule helps all employees with work-life balance, including working parents. We encourage you to discuss this further with your Human Capital manager and see how we could improve that experience.

Not a company that cares for it's employees.

don't have any with this company
Cons
This company doesn't care about their employees. People will throw you under the bus the 1st chance they get. There is very few people you can trust here. Recently a lot of people have left from all over the company, and they don't try to retain their hard working people who truly deserve to be recognized or promoted. Upper management does not listen to their staff. Sadly this company is not what it use to be.

Thank you for your review. The Member Care Center plays a key role in interacting with our members and helping them with their banking needs. The team's goal is to provide a best-in-class member experience in every phone conversation our Member Service Consultants (MSC) answer each day. We understand that this job requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, structured and high-call volume environment. We recognize that our MCC work busy schedules, assisting our members and always remember that our agents play a crucial role in bringing the Alliant Guiding Principles to life. We encourage you to bring your lack of needed support concern to your senior leadership or the Human Capital Group for further discussion. We want our employees to have all the tools and support necessary to be successful at their jobs, and we’d like to learn more from you to take appropriate action.

The people, direct managers, PTO, size of company. You do have opportunities to do projects that most of the time go nowhere but at least you get the experience.
Cons
CEO is controlling. I had to write a review after seeing a review about him working in cubes. I think he wrote that review himself. He controls his direct reports like puppets and I have reason to believe he has jealousy issues of well respected, high performing leaders.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoy the key elements of the Alliant culture. Hearing from employees who value the people, benefits and career opportunities Alliant offers reassures us we're doing a good job at creating a positive employee experience. Based on your other comments, we recognize that you're currently unhappy with your work experience, and we'd like to address your feedback. Earlier this year, we adopted the hybrid workweek schedule, allowing for flexible remote work and purpose-driven and outcome-focused onsite opportunities. As we're now working the hybrid schedule, we've been encouraging our teams and their leaders, including the executive team, to create more opportunities for meaningful interactions and teamwork. That is one of the reasons our employees now see more senior and executive leaders, including our CEO, working in a cubicle alongside other team members. Alliant has gone through a lot of change and growth in the last couple of years with a goal to become the best digital financial institution in the U.S. One thing that has not changed is our commitment to the credit union "people helping people" movement. We recognize that change is never easy, but we want to reassure you that the growth and change result from strategic decisions designed to make Alliant a leading voice in the industry, which includes bolder PR and brand awareness tactics. As always, we are committed to transparent and timely communication and would like to learn more about your experience. Please reach out to anyone on the Human Capital Group or the Ethics Hotline, and let us know how we could do a better job.
