I worked at Allianz (Less than a year)

    Pros

Learning opportunities abound in an international atmosphere. Many people there are good specialists with experience in various fields. The working conditions are very good, including flexibility for student workers.

    Cons

Collaboration can sometimes be a hurdle depending on the team. Occasionally, management might have interns do busy work.

I have been working at Allianz (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Very good atmosphere
    - The job is not stressfull at all
    - flexible hours (I am working only 2 days a week and I can freely choose when I would like to work)

    Cons

Usually I have only very simple tasks to do. On one hand it is positive, because I am not stressed, but on the other hand I am not learning a lot.

    Advice to Management

I think that the management could give more demanding tasks to working students. Expecially that some of them are working there for a long time, so they already have some experience.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    AGCS:
very international, dynamic, diverse, challenging, great work/life balance, excellent place for young / mid age professionals, very profitable, many women in leading positions, many non-Germans in leading positions
AGCS <> Allianz --> things much vary between the AZ operating entities

    Cons

slow processes, not agile, very waterfall, development options for 50+ difficult, very political, kind of many cooks spoil the broth situation, many operating entities (OE) with a huge spread in corporate culture, values .. everything. It all depends on the OE where you work within Allianz, excellent ones and .. very German ones.

    Advice to Management

overall direction / development positive - not everybody can be < 35 years young, life is not over beyond !

I worked at Allianz as an intern

    Pros

I had an opportunity to do the internship in Allianz HQ in Munich. I can say that it was very beneficial experience, first of all because you get to learn from the executives with great experience, bu also you get to meet people from other parts of the company, to learn about their jobs and to explore the opportunities for yourself.

    Cons

It is not likely that you will get a job on an entry level position in their HQ since most of employees are seniors.

I worked at Allianz full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great working at the headquarters in Munich, where everybody speaks wonderful English. Great food court

    Cons

I never forgot that I was working for a corporation, as many people were idle for hours out of the day. Many workers were comfortable putting in half an effort

    Advice to Management

    Delegate and oversee more effectively
