I worked at Allianz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Team Leads are very laid-back, great location, good benefits

    Cons

ZERO JOB SECURITY. Upper management uses the word "transparency" a lot which is a flat out lie. All jobs have been sent to or in the process of going to India.

    Advice to Management

Fight for American employees, off-shoring needs to end! Be more open.

I have been working at Allianz full-time

    Pros

The company itself seems solid but the Bankcard Upper Management is awful to work for. If you work for the non-call center part of Allianz, I hear great things, but otherwise steer clear.

    Cons

Don't work for the Bankcard Division. The office manager is a tyrant and makes it a very poor place to work. The benefits (health 401k) are decent but the pay is low.

    Advice to Management

Fire the manager she is an awful human being.

    Pros

Retirement Benefits. Nice office. I worked for MC which is not like the regular company. It's a weird setup they have.

    Cons

Pointless job which shouldn't exist. You will hate yourself.

    Advice to Management

Not much you can do, it's just a waste of time.

    "US Underwriting for AGCS"

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working for AGCS in the US, there are potential opportunities to move around the globe and work in other offices or for other Allianz entities.

    Cons

There is practically no diversity as it pertains to race--particularly at the management level and above, which is essentially all white. Company doesn't think this is an issue, though, and it's not something that is ever discussed. Also, there is a great deal of favoritism with individuals managing teams that don't have the skill set to manage.

    Advice to Management

    1) Understand that a commitment to diversity would help bring new ideas to the table and better position AGCS in the marketplace. Also, it would make the company more attractive to skilled, non-white insurance professionals.
    2) Ensure that people in management positions are truly qualified and not in their role simply because of their connection to individuals at the top level.

    Pros

Good Benefits, friendly employees for the most part

    Cons

HR Management lacks integrity, they only look out for themselves and do not believe in teamwork, stifling environment, no work-life balance, management needs to get a life. Feel sorry for anyone who works here...all they care about is catering to the rich investment managers.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat people with respect.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Connected to a big global company (Allianz)

    Cons

The US claims organization leadership is best described as arrogant and abusive. Creates a disrespectful "sweatshop" environment. The "old boy" network is alive and well here...performance doesn't matter; how loyal you are to "leaders" that make snap decisions with little information, and routinely berate their employees does. Enter at your own risk. Invest your career time elsewhere...you only have one life.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with dignity and respect. Stop wearing the "bull in a china shop" reputation as something positive. What it really means is that you don't listen, you are abusive to others, and you are not respected. That is the true definition.

    Pros

They have nice amenities, clean environment, steady hours if you are a regular employee and not a temp employee. Holidays and weekends off.

    Cons

Difficult to work your way into regular employee status, low paying as a temp employee. Feel every day like it may be the last day of an income. Benefits are poor and very expensive.

    Advice to Management

Learn to be better to your employees. Equality goes a long way. Offer better benefits. Give people the chance to grow.
