I worked at Allianz full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good employee engagement practices,CSR initiatives, Grand celebrations like Spice Day etc...

    Cons

Lot of internal politics, The worst team is the IT ServiceDesk, which is nothing but a bureaucratic bunch of senseless team who hires people and then makes sure the person quits in 1 year.I would say that it is like a prison ..would recommend it to people who would like to have self imposed punishment.

    Advice to Management

Please outsource IT Service Desk to anywhere else along with the people working there, rest everything is manageable.

    Pros

Friendly colleagues; People take their responsibility very seriously

    Cons

Teams are very under-resourced; Lack of time and focus on people development and training opportunities; Good leadership is sketchy

    Advice to Management

Silo mentality throughout organisation, thus inability for staff to see how they contribute through the whole value chain despite great desire from staff to add greater value.

    Pros

very big company and you can find different technologies and integrations. So, you can progress your abilities easily. Consultant salary is fine

    Cons

They use new technologies a little. Especially old technologies like Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle PL/SQL packs too much. Manager has not enough experience.

I worked at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of possibilities to grow and learn. Strong drive go simplify processes and become most advanced in digital in the industry. Highly professional.

    Cons

Lots of overhead from the past and many legacy processes still in place that slow down the pace compared to new players, though new initiatives are trying to overcome this.

    Advice to Management

Keep going, keep the pace and drive digital evolution across all fields.

    I worked at Allianz full-time

    Pros

    There are good people there

    Cons

Corporatation is a bit corrupt and management is poor.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what's going on day to day. Quality of low level management is so poor - it's not fair to junior employees. A good manager is pivotal to the success of any employee. Unfortunately, good managers are few and far between at Allianz.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    401k: 1 for 1 match to 7.5%, 0% vested until 3 year mark, then 100% vested.

    Cons

Mass layoffs, terrible data quality, constant quality control issues, noisy and open working space, management will throw you under the bus for their mistake, revenue is shrinking, no raises for years, homegrown terrible software, increasing work with less staff, extremely limited career advancement, takes 2 months to get a data report adjusted.

    Advice to Management

Sell off Fireman’s Fund and get back to your core. Work to get better quality data. I've never worked for a company where we just plug $20+ million and don't have ways to breakout basic data.
